ÖZET GİRİŞ VE AMAÇ: Bu çalışmamızda Google anket yöntemi ile bireylerin (17 yaş ve üzeri) anketleri doldurması sağlanarak, Covid-19 pandemisinde uygulanan sokağa çıkma kısıtlamalarının bireylerin sosyal medya kullanımına ve kaygı düzeylerine etkilerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. MATERYAL VE METOT: Bu tanımlayıcı tipte olan araştırma, 04.Mart.2021-29.Mart.2021 tarihleri arasında etik kurul izni alındıktan sonra Sakarya ilinde yapılmıştır. On yedi yaş ve üzerindeki bireylerin internet ve sosyal medya üzerinden anketi doldurmaları sağlanmış ve bu bireyler vasıtasıyla anketin başka kişilere de yayılması sağlanarak toplam 930 bireyin katılımı sağlanmıştır. Herhangi bir örneklem yöntemi kullanılmamıştır. Anket formunda; katılımcıların sosyodemografik özelliklerinin ve Covid-19 ile ilgili bilgi düzeylerinin sorgulandığı, literatürden faydalanılarak hazırlanmış ve araştırmacılar tarafından ön denemesi yapılmış 20 (10+10) soru haricinde 6 soruluk Bergen Sosyal Medya Bağımlılığı Ölçeği (BSMAS) ve 40 soruluk Durumluk-Sürekli Kaygı Ölçeği (STAI) ile birlikte toplam 66 adet soru bulunmaktadır. BULGULAR: Çalışmaya toplam 930 kişi katıldı ve bunların %63,9'u kadındı. Katılımcıların %68,3'ü büyükşehir merkezinde yaşamakta ve %77,3'ü evli idi. Katılımcıların %74,7'si üniversite ve üstü mezuniyet durumuna sahipti ve %40,2'si 8001 TL ve üstü aylık gelire sahipti. %17,2'sinin Covid-19 salgınından önce psikiyatri polikliniğine başvuru öyküsü bulunmakta iken, %16,3'ü ise salgın sürecinde ruh sağlığı profesyonelinden yardım aldığını belirtti. Katılımcıların %54,5'i sokağa çıkma kısıtlamaları boyunca sağlık konusunda endişelerinde artış olduğunu belirtirken, %57,1'i salgın süresince sosyal medyadan öğrendiklerinin kaygılarını arttırdığını belirttiler. Kadınların BSMAS puanları istatiksel olarak erkeklere göre yüksekti (p=0,018). Bekar ve boşanmış olanların evlilere göre BSMAS puanları daha yüksekti (p<0,001). Salgın sürecinde ruh sağlığı profesyonelinden yardım alanların BSMAS puanları almayanlara göre daha yüksekti (p<0,001). BSMAS puanlarını yordamak için kurulan Backward Çoklu Lineer Regresyon Modelinde R2 değerinin 0,202 olduğu, Sürekli Kaygı Ölçeği (exp(B):0,176, p:0,001), Durumluk Kaygı Ölçeği (exp(B):0,074, p:0,001), eğitim durumu (exp(B):0,707, p:0,002) ve yaşın (exp(B):-0,052, p:0,001) ölçek puanlarını yordadığı saptandı (p<0,001). SONUÇ: Covid-19 pandemisi sebebiyle bireylerin sağlık, ekonomik durum, gelecekteki sosyal yaşantı gibi konularda kaygılı oldukları görülmektedir. Pandemi boyunca psikiyatrik destek alanların büyük bir kısmının pandemi öncesi de psikiyatri başvuruları olduğu görülmüştür. Pandemide televizyondan sonra en çok kullanılan ikinci haber kaynağı olarak belirtilen sosyal medya, içerdiği bilgi kirliliği ile insanların daha çok kaygılanmasına sebep olmaktadır. Sosyal medya bağımlılığını arttıran faktörler açısından baktığımızda; kadın cinsiyet, bekar veya boşanmış/dul olmak, yüksek eğitim seviyesi ve Covid-19 pandemisi boyunca psikiyatri başvurusu olması durumlarının anlamlı olduğu görülmüştür. Kadın cinsiyet, evli veya bekar olmak durumluk kaygıyı arttırıyordu. Kadın cinsiyet, bekar veya boşanmış/dul olmak, hiç sigara kullanmamış olmak, hiç alkol kullanmamış ve alkolü bırakmış olmak sürekli kaygıyı arttırıyordu. Yüksek gelir seviyesi hem durumluk kaygıyı hem de sürekli kaygıyı azaltıyordu. Hem pandemi öncesi hem de pandemi sürecinde psikiyatri başvurusu olması yüksek durumluk ve sürekli kaygı ile ilişkiliyken, ek olarak ailede ve yakın çevrede Covid(+) tanı varlığı da sürekli kaygı ile ilişkili bulundu. Yaş arttıkça sosyal medya bağımlılığı ve durumluk-sürekli kaygı puanlarının azaldığı görüldü. Sosyal medya bağımlılığı artışının hem durumluk kaygı hem de sürekli kaygı seviyelerindeki artış ile ilişkili olduğu görüldü. Katılımcıların çoğunun üniversite mezunu ve gelir düzeyi yüksek kesim olması çalışmanın kısıtlılıklarındandı. SUMMARY INTRODUCTION AND AIM: In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the effects of the curfews applied in the Covid-19 pandemic on the use of social media and anxiety levels of individuals by ensuring that individuals (17 years and older) fill out the questionnaires with the Google survey method. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This descriptive study was conducted in Sakarya province between 04.March.2021-29.March.2021 after obtaining the approval of the ethics committee. Individuals aged seventeen and over were provided to fill out the questionnaire via the internet and social media, and by these individuals, the questionnaire was distributed to other people and a total of 930 individuals were participated. No sampling method was used. In the questionnaire form, there are a total of 66 questions, including the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) with 6 questions and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) with 40 questions, apart from 20 (10+10) questions prepared by using the literature and pre-tested by the researchers, in which the sociodemographic characteristics of the participants and their levels of knowledge about Covid-19 were questioned. RESULTS: A total of 930 people participated in the study and 63.9% of them were women. 68.3% of the participants lived in the metropolitan center and 77.3% were married. 74.7% of the participants had a university degree or higher, and 40.2% had a monthly income of 8001 TL or more. While 17.2% of them had a history of applying to the psychiatry outpatient clinic before the Covid-19 epidemic, 16.3% stated that they received help from a mental health professional during the epidemic. While 54.5% of them stated that there was an increase in their concerns about health during the curfews, 57.1% stated that what they learned from social media during the epidemic increased their anxiety. BSMAS scores of women were statistically higher than men (p=0,018). Single and divorced people had higher BSMAS scores than married people (p<0,001). Those who received help from a mental health professional during the epidemic had a higher BSMAS scores than those who did not (p<0,001). In the Backward Multiple Linear Regression Model established to predict BSMAS scores, the R2 value was 0,202; Trait Anxiety Scale (exp(B):0,176, p:0,001), State Anxiety Scale (exp(B):0,074, p:0,001), educational status (exp(B):0,707, p:0,002) and age (exp(B):-0,052, p:0,001) were found to predict scale scores (p<0,001). CONCLUSIONS: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is seen that individuals are concerned about issues such as health, economic situation, and future social life. It was observed that most of those who received psychiatric support during the pandemic had applied to psychiatry before the pandemic. Social media, which is stated as the second most used news source after television in the pandemic, causes people to worry more with the information pollution it contains. When we look at the factors that increase social media addiction; female gender, being single or divorced/widowed, high education level and having applied to psychiatry during the Covid-19 pandemic were found to be significant. Female gender, being married or single increased state anxiety. Female gender, being single or divorced/widowed, never smoking, never consuming alcohol and quitting alcohol increased trait anxiety. High income level decreased both state anxiety and trait anxiety. While applying to psychiatry both before and during the pandemic was associated with high state and trait anxiety, the presence of a diagnosis of Covid (+) in the family and in the immediate environment was also found to be associated with trait anxiety. It was observed that social media addiction and state-trait anxiety scores decreased as age increased. The increase in social media addiction was found to be associated with an increase in both state anxiety and trait anxiety levels. One of the limitations of the study was that most of the participants were university graduates and had a high income level.
