Raif Necdet Kestelli'nin hayat ve mektuplar I-II adlı eserinin çeviri yazıya aktarımı ve incelemesi

Abstract

Raif Necdet'in Hayat ve Mektuplar adlı eserini inceleme gayemiz günümüz Türkçesine çevrilmemiş ve bugünkü okura ulaştırılamamış, yeni neslin anlamadığı çeviri metinlerin kalmamasına yardımcı olmaktır. Mektup türünün Türk kültürü içindeki önemini irdelemek için böyle bir çalışmaya girmiş bulunuyoruz. Raif Necdet Kestelli'nin döneminde yazmış olduğu el emeği göz nuru metinleri tarihin karanlık sayfaları arasından gün ışığına çıkartılıp birer tarihî vesika edasıyla tek tek incelendi. Bu incelemenin sebebi I. Dünya Savaşı döneminde yaşanan olayları her bir mektubunda farklı bir kesimden insanın ağzından yazmış olduğu mektupların tarihî belge niteliği taşımasıdır. Bu belgeleri günümüz Türkçesine çevirerek hem Türk Edebiyatına yeniden kazandırmak hem de yeni neslin geçmişini görmesinde, tanımasında mektupların da bir etkisinin olduğunu göstermektir. Öncelikle Raif Necdet Kestelli hakkında bir araştırma yapılarak teze başlandı. Yazarımız her ne kadar edebiyat tarihinin gizemli yazarlarından olsa da elde edilebilen kısıtlı bilgiler ile onu ve kalemini tanımaya yönelik çalışmalar yapıldı. Metnin hiçbir kelimesine hatta ve hatta hiçbir noktalamasına dokunmadan, yani tamamen metne bağlı kalınarak incelendi ve Çeviri yazıya aktarıldı. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman incelemesi yapılmış, tarama ve çeviri metodu kullanılmış, 20. yüzyıl başlarında meydana getirilmiş olan eserin günümüz tekniklerine bağlı olarak incelemesi yapılmıştır. Raif Necdet Kestelli'nin mektupları, o dönemde yaşayan çeşitli kesimden insanların ağzından yazarak dönemin sosyal, ekonomik, siyasi, dinî ve sağlıksal yapısını ortaya koyar. Yazarın aşağı yukarı her mektubunda dile getirdiği "kadının toplumdaki yeri" konusu geniş yer tutar. İncelemede Raif Necdet'in hayatı, edebi kişiliği ve eserleri sıralanmış olup dönemin yapısı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir

Aiming to deliver a contemporary Turkish version of the work, "Life and Letters" of Raif Necdet has been the subject of this thesis, as to simplify its reading to the current generation. Furthermore, it scrutinizes the importance of the work in the Turkish culture. Brought to light from the dark pages of history, Raif Necdet Kestelli's letters, were examined one by one as historical documents, depicting the events of the First World War. The translation of these letters into modern Turkish, aims to both restore the work as part of the Turkish Literature and draws the clearer picture of the past to the new generations. The thesis starts with a research about Raif Necdet Kestelli. Being one of the mysterious writers in the history of literature, the author and his oeuvre are explicated in this work using the limited information that could be obtained. The translation is entirely adhering to the text, taking place without touching any word or punctuation of the original work. In the thesis, one of the qualitative research methods such as scanning, translation methods and document analysis are used. The work created in the early 20th century, was examined via current techniques. Raif Necdet Kestelli's letters reveal the social, economic, political, religious, as well as the sanitary structure of that era. The concept of "women's place in society" is widely mentioned in almost every letter. Raif Necdet's life, his literary identity and works were listed in this study, providing information about the system of that period.
