dc.description.abstract In this study, an improved characteristic ratio-based controller is proposed for Buck Converters, which is used in many different industrial applications. The proposed control method, in addition to being simple in design, its implementation is also simple as only the output voltage is needed to calculate the control signal. The step-type reference tracking performance of the designed controller is investigated by experimentally. In addition, the robustness of the designed controller against the uncertainty in the parameters and disturbances such as load and input voltage variations has been investigated in detail by simulation and experimental studies in comparison with classical PID controller.
