Birinci Dünya Savaşı Türk basınında Çanakkale muharebeleri

Abstract

Bu tezin yapılış amacı, alanında bulunan boşluğu kısmen de olsa doldurması ve bu sahada bilgiye ihtiyaç duyan araştırmacılara kolaylık sağlamasıdır. Tez esas olarak İkdam ve Tanin gazetelerinin Çanakkale muharebeleri sırasındaki haber ve yorumlarından oluşmaktadır. Ancak bir ön bilgi olması bakımından, girişe Çanak kale muharebelerinin sebep, gelişme ve sonuçlarını ihtiva eden bir bölüm eklenmiştir. Tezin işlenişi esnasında, önce gazetelerin ilgili sayıları taranarak Çanakkale hakkındaki bütün haberler kaydedilmiş, daha sonra Giriş bölümündeki bilgilerin derlenmesi amacıyla bu konuda yazılmış çeşitli eserlere müracaat edilmiştir. Araştırmanın nihayetinde önemli bazı sonuçlara varılmıştır. Bunlar ayrıntılı bir şekilde Sonuç bölümünde açıklanmasına rağmen kısaca ifade etmek gerekirse, Çanakkale mu harebeleri hem yabancı hem de Türk basınında geniş yer bulmuş, her iki tarafın mat buatı da muharebeleri kendi milli menfaatleri doğrultusunda işlemiş ve Türk askerinin kahramanlık, cesaret ve başarısı dost-düşman bütün hükümetler ve basın tarafından takdir edilmiştir. Ayrıca belirtmekte fayda vardır ki, bilhassa İngiliz basını muharebelerin başında çok iddialı yorumlar yayınlarken, savaş geliştikçe ve kendilerinin başarısızlığı ortaya çıktıkça ağız değiştirmeye başlamış, en sonunda başarısızlığın faturasını Türk askerinin kahramanlığına olduğu kadar kendi hükümet ve ordularının yanlışlarına da çıkararak, yapılan yanlış icraat ve kumandayı çok şiddetli bir şekilde eleştirmiştir. Netice itibariyle Çanakkale muharebelerinin sonucunda Türk Milleti ve Ordusunun iti barının diğer devletler nezdinde son derece yükseldiği görülmektedir.

The World War One-The Dardanelles War In The Turkish Press The aim of this thesis is to fill the space-even if partly-in its area and facilitate the re searchers whom need knowledge about this subject. The thesis mainly consists of the news and comments of The Newspapers İkdam and Tanin during The Dardanelles War. But as a pre-knowledge, a section which contains the reasons, progress and the results of The Dardanelles War is included into The Intro duction. During the progress of the thesis, firstly, the interested issues of the newspapers are searched thoroughly and recorded all the news about the War. Afterwards, some books which are written of this subject are used to compile the knowledges in The Section of Intoduction. There has been reached some important results at the end of the research. Although these are comprehensively explained in The Section of Introduction, if it is necessary to indicate in short, The Dardanelles War has taken place broadly in both Turkish and the foreign press. The press' of the both sides have given the news and the comments in the direction of their national interests. The courage, heroism and the success of the Turk ish soldiers are appreciated by the friend - enemy goverments and the press'. In addition, its useful to indicate that, when The War progressed, The English Press ac cused their own government and army to be as much the responsible of the failure as The Turkish army's heroism. The same press has fiercely criticized the policies of its own government and the tactics of its own army. As a result of these, the honor of Turkey and its army has risen up against other states.
