ÖZET Anahtar Kelimeler: Evsel atıksu, fiziksel arıtım, katı/sıvı ayırımı, bant sistemi Bu çalışmada, evsel atıksularda yeni bir katı/sıvı ayırımı teknolojisi incelenmiştir. Bant sistemi ile evsel atıksuların fiziksel arıtımının yapılabileceği mümkün görünmektedir. Bant sistemiyle evsel atıksu kirlilik parametrelerinin giderimi çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Birinci bölümde çalışmanın amacı ve kapsamı üzerinde durulmuştur. ikinci bölümde evsel atıksular hakkında genel bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde arıtma sistemleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde bant sistemi tanıtılmıştır. Beşinci bölümde bant sisteminin optimum çalışma şartları araştırılmış ve sonuçları tablolar ve grafikler şeklinde verilmiştir. Altıncı bölümde deneysel çalışmalarda elde edilen sonuçlar verilmiştir. Tezde çalışılan evsel atıksu için bant sisteminde %55 BOİ5, %86 AKM giderme verimi elde edilmiştir. Bant sisteminden elde edilen sonuçlar diğer klasik fiziksel arıtma yöntemlerinden daha iyi sonuç verdiği tesbit edilmiştir. Yedinci bölümde bant sisteminin verimliliği tartışılmış ve gelecek çalışmalar için bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur. XII
Key Words: Domestic wastewater, physical treatment, solid/liquid seperation, band system, In this study, a new technology of solid/liquid separation in domestic wastewater was investigated. Physical seperation in domestic wastewaters by band system was possible. Elimination of pollution parameters through the band system is conducted. In the first chapter, the goal and extent of the study were explained. In the second chapter, general information was given on domestic wastewater. In the third chapter, knowledge was given abaut treatment systems. In fourth chapter, band system explained. In the fifth chapter, optimum conditions for band system were investigated and optained experimental results were given such as tables and figures. In the sixth chapter, results of this study were concluded. Avarage removal efficiencies of BOD and S S from domestic wastewater by band sysytem were 55% and 86% respectively. Optained results from band system were found better than other clasical, physical treatment. In the seventh chapter, effiency of band system was discussed and some suggestions were given in the future studies. XIII
