Osmanlı Devleti’nin kuruluş devrini konu edinen romanlarda mekan unsuru

Abstract

Tanzimat Döneminde Türk okuruyla tanışan tarihî roman, başta Tanzimat Dönemi olmak üzere her dönemde okuyucu bulmuştur. Yaklaşık yüz elli yıllık bir geçmişe sahip olan bu roman türü, çeşitli araştırmalara da konu edinilmiştir. Osmanlı Devleti'nin Kuruluş Devrini konu edinen romanlarla ilgili "mekân" başlığı altında müstakil bir çalışmanın yapılması düşüncesi tezin çıkış noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Cumhuriyet Döneminde yazılan Osmanlı Devleti'nin Yıldırım Bayezid dönemine kadarki kuruluşunu konu edinen on beş romandaki mekân unsurlarının değerlendirildiği çalışma iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde temel bazı kavramlar açıklanmıştır. Bunlar: tarihî roman kavramı, tarihî romanın türleri, tarihî romanın dünya ve Türk edebiyatında ortaya çıkışı, tarih ve roman ilişkisi, tarihî romanın işlevi, tarihî romanın özellikleri, Osmanlının Kuruluş Devri ve hükümdarları, mekânın kullanımı, mekânın sınıflandırılması, mekânın tasviri, mekânın simgesel değeri ve romanda mekânın işlevleri şeklindedir. İkinci bölümde ise çalışmaya konu edinilen on beş romandaki mekânlar tasnif edilerek incelenmiştir. Bu incelemede öncelikle her romanla ilgili çeşitli bilgiler verilmiştir. Daha sonra romanlar ana hatlarıyla özetlenmiş ve dikkat çeken, olaylar üzerinde etkili olan mekânlar ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Ön plana çıkmayan ya da sadece isim olarak geçen mekânlar ise bir paragraf halinde ortaya konmuştur. Son olarak da her romanla ilgili o romanın sonunda, incelenen mekânlara dair çeşitli değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır.

The Historical novel which met first with the reader in the Tanzimat Reform Period, has found readers in every era. The historical novel had nearly a hundred fifty years background and has been the subject of various studies but it was indicated that there was not a self-contained study named as 'site' that was subjected about the establishment of Ottoman Empire era. This deficiency constituted the starting point of the study. The study evaluated the site elements of the historical novels which were written in the period of establishment republican era post of Ottoman Empire till Sultan Yildirim Beyazit era between the years of and it can be declared that this study resolves the deficiency which is mentioned above. The study consists of two chapters. In the first chapter basic concepts were explained. These were: history and historical novel concept, types of the historical novels, emergence of the historical novel types in Turkish literature and world literature, relation between history and novel, function of the historical novel, features of the historical novel, establishment of the Ottoman Empire and sultans, historical progress of the site, sites classification, description of the sites, symbolic meaning of the site and functions of the site in the novel. In the second chapter fifteen novels were examined. First, several information was given about the novel and novels were summarized as section by section and all sites were clarified in detail. Lastly, general assessments were made about the sites. The appreciations includes; remarkable sites, uncertainty of the sites, description of the sites, open and closed sites those are at the forefront or at the background.
