This study is based on the evaluation of heat transfer in minichannels. A coolingprocess with Helium in minichannels was considered due to this evaluation. Thisconcept consists of the optimisation and thermohydraulic simulations of a coolingfinger (divertor) which was designed to move a great heat load of 15MW/m2 fromfusion reactor. These experiments were done at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe(Germany). For different Helium temperatures, five different Helium mass flow rateswere measured ( for 4000C only four was possible). The datas of the thermocoupleswhich were positioned in the test section, were recorded and compared with thesimulation results obtained by using different turbulance models of STARCD tomake obvious if these models are reliable. Furtheremore, a simple geometrictemperature region model was also executed as a simple alternative of theseturbulance models to check the reliability.
