ÖZET Anahtar Kelimeler: Sonlu elemanlar yöntemi, Dizel motoru, Sıcaklık dağılımı, Seramik kaplama, Isı akısı, İçten yanmalı motorlarda ısı kayıplarım azaltmak amacıyla yanma odası yüzeylerinin ısı iletkenliği düşük seramik malzemelerle kaplanması üzerine çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Seramik kaplama sonucu; motorun performansında iyileşmeler sağlanırken, egzoz gaz emisyonları da azalmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, aşın doldurmalı bir dizel motorunun piston, silindir gömleği ve egzoz supabında kaplama sonucu sıcaklık ve ısı akısındaki değişimlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaçla, motorun piston yanma odası, supaplar ve silindir gömleği üzerine değişik kalınlıkta, kaplama yapılması durumda sıcaklık ve ısı akısı dağılımı incelenmiştir. Altlık malzeme olarak NiCrAl ve kaplama malzemesi olarak MgZr03 (Magnezyum zirkonat) ile kullamlmıştır.Kaplamasız ve farklı kalınlıklarda kaplanmış olan motor parçalan ANSYS programında modellenerek çözümlemeler gerçekleştirildi. Sonuçlar kaplamalı ve kaplamasız duruma göre karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirildi. Çalışma sonuçlan, seramik kaplama sonucunda piston sıcaklıklarında %6-9, silindir gömlek sıcaklıklarında %5-24 ve egzoz supap sıcaklıklarında ise 2% civarında bir azalma olduğu göstermektedir. Isı akısı miktarlarında meydana gelen azalma ise pistonda %5-8, silindir gömleğinde %15-26 olarak belirlenmiştir. Yapılan değişik kaplama kalınlıklan sonucunda sıcaklık ve ısı akısı değerlerinin belirli bir değerden sonra azalmayıp, arttığı ya da değerlerin fazla değişmediği görülmüştür. Çalışma sonuçlan, incelenen kaplama kalınlıklan içinde en uygun kaplama kalınlığının 0,5 mm'lik kaplama kalınlığı olduğunu göstermiştir. xi

The works are underway on the coating the internal chamber walls by ceramic materials for the purpose of reducing heat losses from the internal combustion engines. As a result of ceramic coating, the engine performance is improved, while the exhaust gas emissions are decreased. The purpose of the work is to determine the changes in the temperature and heat flux by coating of the piston, cylinder liner and exhaust valve of a turbocharged diesel engine. To this end, the distribution of the temperature and the heat flux are investigated upon coating the engine piston, combustion chamber, valves and cylinder liners for various thicknesses. The base material is NiCrAl, whereas the coating is made of MgZr03 (magnesium zirconate). The analysis have been performed on the engine components with and without coating by using the simulations performed a ANYSY FEM code. The results were evaluated by comparing the cases with and without coating. The results of the study have revealed that coating provided the decreases at the rate of 6-9% for the piston temperatures, 5-24% for the liner temperatures and 2% for the exhaust valve temperatures. The reductions in the heat fluxes were determined to be 5-8% for the pistons and 15-26% for the cylinder liners. It has been also revealed that the temperature and heat flux values did not decrease after a certain value of coating thickness, otherwise, they tended to increase. The results showed that, in terms of heat insulation, the optimum coating thickness was 0,5 mm among the considered coationg thicknesses. xii
