Özellikle sabit etkili lineer modele bazı kısıtların eklenmesiyle elde edilen (artırılmış) model vasıtasıyla En İyi Lineer Yansız Tahmin Edici (Best Linear Unbiased Estimator-BLUE) ve En İyi Lineer Yansız Ön Tahmin Edicinin (Best Linear Unbiased Predictor- BLUP'ın) tüm temsillerinin elde edilebileceği gösterilmiştir. Ayrıca bu yöntem kullanılarak, farklı kovaryans matrislerine sahip iki lineer karma model altında BLUE ve BLUP ile ilgili bazı sonuçlar verilmiştir. İlk bölümde, lineer modeller ve lineer karma modeller genel olarak tanıtılmış ve bu modellerle ilgili kısa bir literatür bilgisi verilerek uygulama alanlarından bahsedilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, çalışmanın bütününde kullanılan bazı temel kavram ve teoremler verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, lineer modeller altında sabit etkilerin tahmini ile ilgili bazı sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Benzer şekilde lineer karma modeller altında rasgele etkilerin tahmini ile ilgili bazı sonuçlar da dördüncü bölümde elde edilmiştir. Beşinci bölümde ise, farklı kovaryans matrislerine sahip iki lineer karma model ele alınarak, modellerin biri altında sabit etkiler için BLUE ve rasgele etkiler için BLUP'ın diğer model altında da BLUE ve BLUP kalmaya devam etmesi için gerekli ve yeterli koşullar elde edilmiştir. Son bölümde, sonuç ve öneriler sunulmuştur.
Key Words: Linear Model, Linear Mixed Model, BLUE, BLUP, Fixed Effect, Random Effect. The estimation of parameters under linear models including fixed effects and the estimations of fixed and random effects under linear mixed models including both fixed and random effects have been considered in the study. Particularly, it has been shown all representations of the Best Linear Unbiased Estimator (BLUE) and the Best Linear Unbiased Predictor (BLUP) can be obtained through the (augmented) model which obtained by adding some restrictions to fixed effect linear model. Furthermore, some results related to the BLUE and the BLUP have been given under two linear mixed models having different covariance matrices by using this method. In the first chapter, linear models and linear mixed models have been introduced in general and the fields of application have been mentioned by giving short literature information related to these models. In the second chapter, some fundamental concepts and theorems which will be used in the whole of the work have been given. In chapter three, some results have been obtained related to the estimation of fixed effects under linear models. Similarly, some results have been obtained related to the estimation of random effects under linear mixed models in the fourth chapter. In chapter five, it has been given necessary and sufficient conditions that the BLUE for fixed effects and the BLUP for random effects under one of these models continue to be the BLUE and the BLUP also under the other model by considering two linear mixed models having different covariance matrices. In the last chapter, conclusion and proposals have been presented.
