dc.description.abstract Conclusions: Our study demonstrated that uric acid level was significantly elevated in patients with diastolic dysfunction. Further studies are needed to assess whether inhibition of xanthine oxidase (XO) with allopurinol results in an improvement in diastolic dysfunction.
