Abstract:
This study focuses on recognizability and perception of Haci Bektash Veli and Bektashi concepts. The study was conducted with relational screning model. The study group consists of 567 first year university students- that is freshmen- who have chosen to study different branches. As these students just came from secondary school, academic programs were interpreted by taking the results into consideration. When it was considered that these people would teach, it was identified that they did not take courses on Haci Bektash Veil in primary or secondary school and took courses in a limited way according to the department they chose to study at university. Thus, it was seen that there were teacher candidates who knew Haci Bektash Veil as a result of his/her special interest or by chance. For this reason, basic information on and values of Haci Bektash Veil should be given in primary school. In the same way, a level of knowledge about the subject that will appeal students and enable them to work independently should be given in secondary education. Thus, college students, regardless of the preferred department and courses, will able to choose and do research on the subject.
