Abstract:
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C14H13NO2, contains two independent molecules. In the indole ring system, the benzene and pyrrole rings are nearly coplanar, the dihedral angles being 0.48 (17) and 1.26 (17)degrees. The cyclohexenone and tetrahydrofuran rings have envelope conformations. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into supramolecular chains nearly parallel to the c axis.
