dc.description.abstract	Indoor radon measurements were performed using LR-115 type-II solid state nuclear track detectors in Sakarya University in classrooms, laboratories and offices during the period from July 2013 to June 2014. The results show that the radon concentration in studied buildings ranges from 0.20 +/- 0.04 to 94.1 +/- 10 Bq/m(3) with an average value of 40 +/- 5 Bq/m3. The annual effective doses from radon were estimated to range from 0.18 to 2.00 mSv/y with a mean value of 1.00 mSv/y. These results indicate no radiological health hazard, as the measured activities are well below International Commission on Radiological Protection recommended level of 200 Bq/m(3) for indoor radon.
