In the title compound, C10H12N2O6S, the nitro group is twisted slightly out of the plane of the aromatic ring, forming a dihedral angle of 20.79 (1)degrees. In the crystal, the molecules arrange themselves as a chain along the a axis through intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions.
