Çeviri ve Anlama: Çeviride Anlamayı Etkileyen Faktörler

Abstract

Bu çalışmada çeviride anlamın ne olduğu, anlama sürecinin nasıl gerçekleştiği, anlamayı etkileyen faktörler, çeviride anlam ve orijinal metni anlamaktan kaynaklanan farklı çevirilerin ortaya çıkması ile ilgili bir takım noktalara değinilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın erek kitlesi özellikle de çeviribilim öğrencileridir. İnsan, anlama eylemini gerçekleştirirken hafızaya kaydedilen bilgileri kullanmaktadır. Okuma anlama sürecinde dilbilimsel ve zihinsel süreçler etkileşim halinde işleyiş görmektedir. Bu etkileşim sayesinde metnin anlamı ortaya çıkar. Okuma anlama, sadece metindeki bilgiyle sınırlandırılmaz, metindeki bilginin ötesine geçerek, daha önceden edinilmiş bilgiyle karşılıklı etkileşimini gerektirir. Çevirmen, genel kültür, alan ve konu bilgisi, güncel konular ve dünyada olup bitenlere olan ilgisi sayesinde yazarla ortak payda da buluşur ve anlama süreci devreye girer. İkinci aşama olan anladığını anlatmak, yani çevirmek ancak birinci aşama başarılı geçtikten sonra mümkün olmaktadır.

The aim of this study is to mention about what the role of understanding in translation is, how the process of understanding in translation takes place and emergence of different translations due to understanding the original text from a number of different points. In this study, target audiences are especially students of translation studies. One uses the information stored in memory in understanding. Linguistic and cognitive processes interact in the process of reading and comprehension. Through this interaction occurs the meaning of a text. Reading and comprehension are not only limited to information in the text, that information goes beyond the text and it also necessitates the interplay of previously acquired knowledge. Thanks to knowledge of culture, subject and field and his interest in current issues and events going around the world, a translator meets the author where they have both common thinks to share and then the process of understanding begins. The second stage, telling what one has understood, that is to say translating is only possible after being successful in the first step.
