Duygusal emeğin bireysel öncüllerinin incelenmesi = An examination of the individual antecedents of emotional labor

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, duygusal emeğin bireysel öncülleri karanlık üçlü ve büyük beşli kapsamında ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, karanlık kişilik özelliklerinin ve beş faktör kişilik özelliklerinin duygusal emek gösterimine etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma, duygusal emek düzeyinin yoğun sergilendiği hizmet sektöründe çalışan, online anket yoluyla ulaşılan 281 gönüllü katılımcı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılar, kendilerinin karanlık kişilik özelliklerini, beş faktör kişilik özelliklerini ve duygusal emek düzeylerini öz-bildirim yöntemiyle değerlendirmiştir. Karanlık üçlünün alt boyutları olan narsisizm, Makyavelizm ve psikopati boyutları ile büyük beşlinin alt boyutları olan deneyime açıklık, uyumluluk, dışadönüklük, sorumluluk ve nevrotiklik boyutlarının duygusal emek ve duygusal emeğin alt boyutları olan yüzeysel rol, derin rol ve doğal duygu boyutlarına olan etkilerini ölçmek için çoklu regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Yüzeysel rol boyutuna, sadece Makyavelizm pozitif yönlü çok güçlü etki etmiştir. Diğer boyutların yüzeysel rol yapma boyutuna etkisi olmamıştır. Derin rol yapma boyutuna, narsisizm ve uyumluluk boyutları pozitif yönde düşük kuvvetli etki yapmıştır. Diğer boyutlar derin rol yapma boyutunu etkilememiştir. Doğal duygu boyutuna, uyumluluk, dışadönüklük ve sorumluluk boyutları pozitif yönde düşük kuvvette etki etmiştir. Diğer boyutların doğal duygu boyutuna etkisi olmamıştır. Bu bulgulara göre; Makyavelizmin, yüzeysel rol davranışının öncüllerinden biri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda narsiszmin ve uyumluluğun derinden duyguya etkisi, uyumluluğun, dışadönüklüğün ve sorumluluğun da doğal duyguya etkisi mevcut kuram ve literatür bağlamında tartışılmaya çalışılmıştır.

In this research, the individual antecedents of emotional labor are examined in the dark triad and the big five. The aim of the study is to examine the effect of dark personality traits and five factor personality traits on emotional labor display. The research was carried out with 281 volunteer participants, who were reached through an online survey, working in the service sector, where the level of emotional labor is intense. Participants evaluated their own dark personality traits, five factor personality traits, and emotional labor levels using the self-report method. Multiple regression analysis was performed to measure the effects of narcissism, machiavellianism and psychopathy, which are the sub-dimensions of the dark triad, and the dimensions of openness to experience, agreeableness, extraversion, responsibility and neuroticism, which are the sub-dimensions of the big five, on the total score of emotional labor and the sub-dimensions of emotional labor: superficial role, deep role and natural emotion. According to the findings of the study: narcissism had a low positive effect on the total score of emotional labor, Machiavellianism had a powerful positive effect on the total score, and the dimension of compatibility had a positive low strong effect. Other dimensions did not have a statistically significant effect on the total score of emotional labor. Only Machiavellianism had a powerful positive effect on the superficial role dimension. Other dimensions had no effect on the superficial role-playing dimension. Narcissism and compatibility dimensions had a low and strong positive effect on the deep role-playing dimension. Other dimensions did not affect the deep role-playing dimension. On the natural emotion dimension, agreeableness, extroversion and responsibility dimensions had a low positive effect. Other dimensions had no effect on the natural emotion dimension. At the same time, the effects of narcissism and compatibility on deep emotion, and the effects of compatibility, extraversion and responsibility on natural emotion have been tried to be discussed in the context of existing theory and literature.
