İstanbul Üniversitesi öğrencilerinin sosyal devlet ve sosyal adalet algıları = Perceptions of social state and social justice of İstanbul Unıversıty students

Abstract

Küresel olarak günümüzde ülkelerin en büyük sorunlarından birini sosyal devlet ve sosyal adalet/adaletsizlikler konusunda yaşanan problemler oluşturmaktadır. Devletler ise bir yandan sosyal refahı sağlamaya yönelik uygulamalarla toplumsal dengeyi sağlamaya çalışmakta bir yandan da küreselleşen piyasanın gücüne karşı mücadele etmektedirler. Bu çalışmada sosyal devlet ve sosyal adalet bağlamında üniversite öğrencilerinin, sosyal devlet ve sosyal adalet uygulamalarına ilişkin algıları ele alınmıştır. Bu araştırma sosyal devlet ve sosyal devletin nihai hedefi olan sosyal adalet bir arada ele alınarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amaçlarından biri öğrencilerin, sosyal yardım uygulamalarını devletin mecburi görevi olarak görüp görmediklerini tespit etmektir. Bu araştırmanın bir diğer amacı ise öğrencilerin, devletin sosyal adaleti sağlamaya yönelik uygulamalarına ilişkin tutumlarını ölçmektir. Çalışma kapsamında literatür taraması yapıldıktan sonra İstanbul Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim gören 420 öğrenci ile anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 22 analiz programıyla analiz edilmiş olup istatistiksel olarak One-Way ANOVA, TUKEY ve T-test kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın temel bulgularından biri öğrencilerin ağırlıklı çoğunluğunun toplumda sosyal adaletsizliklerin olduğunu düşündüğü şeklindedir. Çalışmanın başka bir temel bulgusu ise öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğunun sosyal yardımları devletin mecburi görevi olarak değerlendirdiği biçimindedir.

Globally, one of the biggest problems countries are facing are the problems of social state and social justice / injustices. On the one hand, states try to achieve social balance through practices aimed at achieving social welfare, and on the other hand, they struggle against the power of the globalizing market.In this study, perceptions of university students about social state and social justice practices in the context of social state and social justice are discussed.This resarch was carried out by considering social state and social justice, which is the ultimate goal of social state, all together. One of the aims of this study is to determine whether students consider social assistance practices as a compulsory duty of the state. Another aim of this study is to measure students attitudes towards the implementation of the state towards social justice. After the literature review, 420 students studying at Istanbul University were surveyed. The data were analyzed with SPSS 22 analysis program, One-Way ANOVA, TUKEY and T-test were used statistically. One of the main findings of the study is that the majority of the students think that there are social injustices in the society. Another key finding of the study is that the vast majority of students consider social assistance to be the compulsory duty of the state.
