Bu tezi hazırlamaktaki amacımız finansman problemi çeken küçük ve orta büyüklükteki işletmelere yeni tanınmaya başlanan leasing'i tanıtmak, nasıl kullanabileceklerini, kullandıkları taktirde hangi avantajları elde edecekleri ve hangi dezavantajlarla karşılaşabileceklerini göstermektir. Giriş kısmında Leasing'in önemini belirttikten sonra, İlk bölümde Leasing'in tanımı, tarihi ve Dünyadaki durumunu ayrıntılı olarak ele almaya çalıştık. İkinci bölümde tezimizin asıl ağırlıklı konusunu ele alarak, Leasing işlemlerinin unsurlarını ve işlemlerin nasıl yapıldığını ortaya koymaya çalıştık. Bunu yaparken herhangi bir çalışmayı örnek almayıp tamamen yeni bir metot takip ettik. Önce Leasing'le ilgili hemen hemen her konuyu içine alan bir şablon oluşturduk, daha sonra yayımlandığı yıla göre kronolojik sırayla her yazı, makale ve kitabı inceledik. Maksadımız Leasing işlemlerini ve muhasebelştirilmesini çok yönlü olarak ele almak olduğundan, işin fınans yönünde çok durmayarak uygulamaya yönelik konulara girdik. Leasing çeşitlerini alan üçüncü bölümde bir önceki bölümde olduğu gibi belli bir şablona dayanarak uygulanılabilirliği en fazla olan leasing çeşitlerini ele aldık. Leasing'in Türkiye'deki uygulanması ile ilgili değerlendirmeleri bu bölümde verdik. Dördüncü bölümde ise leasing'in yararlan, avantajları, dezavantajları, satın alma ve kiralama arasında yapılacak seçim ile Finansal Kiralama Kanunu üzerinde durduk. Kiralama ile satın alma seçiminde teorik bilgilerin yanısıra, finansal olarak hangi şartlarda hangi tercihin yapılabileceğini gösterdik. Tezin en büyük bölümünü meydana getiren leasing işlemlerinin muhasebeleştirilmesi ve karşılaşılan sorunları besince bölüme koyduk. Çeşitli leasing işlemleri yapıldığında bunların gerek kiralayan gerekse kiracı tarafından nasıl muhasebeleştirebileceklerini verilen örnekler ile göstermeye çalıştık. Karşılaşılan sorunlar da bizzat bu işlemleri yapan firmalar tarafından bize iletilen ayrıca dergi, gazete ve kitaplardaki makalelerden hazırlanmıştır. Ülkemizde, orta ve uzun vadeli kredi kaynaklarının yetersiz oluşu, sermaye piyasasının yeterli gelişmeyi gösterememesi ve kredi faizlerinin maliyetinin yüksek oluşundan, şirketler kaynak sağlamakta güçlük çekmektedirler. Özellikle finansman sıkıntısının üretime kısıtlayıp, talebin karşılanamadığı pazarlarda piyasanın canlanmasını sağlama ve üretken yatırımları artırmak yönünden leasing oldukça etkin bir finansman yöntemi olarak değerlendirilebilir.
It seems good to know leasing for small and growing cooperation's which have financial problems. And they are supposed to know how to make use of leasing and what kind of advantages and disadvantages they will face with. These items are considered in this thesis. At the beginning, having indicated the importance of leasing, we tried to consider the description, history and the global position of leasing in a detailed manner, then as the condensed part of the thesis we indicated the parts of leasing functions and how to perform these functions. In doing this we did not make use of a present strategy, but we followed another unique method. Firstly we formed a format including the whole aspects of leasing, then we investigated the related papers and books in a chronological sequence. The aim was to consider the functions and the account of leasing, that is why instead of going into the details of financial subjects, we preferred to consider with the topics related to applications. In the third chapter including types of leasing, we considered the most applicable kinds. The evaluation of the application of leasing in Turkey is considered in this chapter. In the forth chapter the advantages and disadvantages of leasing are considered as well as the choice between renting and buying, more over financial renting laws are studied. In addition to the theoretical information on the choice between renting and buying, we have shown which alternatives are chosen in which conditions. The largest portion of thesis is devoted to the account of leasing and those problems faced with in leasing. There are samples showing the accounts of different leasing applications for both sides. The problems of this kind, are complied from the information's conducted by the firms and form the related papers. In our country, middle-time and long-time credit sources are insufficient, that's why finance sector could not show the expected innovation and because of the high cost of credit interests, firms have difficulties to supply source. Particularly when the lack of financial supply restricts the production and the demand of the bazaar could not be full filled, leasing is a quite effective method to motivate the sectors and to rise the productive investments.
