Abstract

Toplam kalite yönetimi, bugünlerde yoğun bir rekabet ortamında yarışabilecek ve onun negatif etkilerini azaltabilecek bir yönetim anlayışıdır. Bu anlayışı benimseyen şirketler üretimlerini artırabilir ve kaliteyi yükselterek maliyetini düşürebilirler, ve sonuç olarak market fiyatlarım düşürerek marketlerdeki paylarını yükseltebilirler. Bu tezin amacı, kalitesizliğin sebebi olan maliyetleri kontrol altına almayan ve bunları toplam kalite yönetimini benimseyen orta boyutlu şirketlerde azalmaya yardımcı olmaktır. Başlangıçta buna teorik olarak yaklaşıldı ve konuyla ilgili teorik bilgiler sunuldu. Daha sonra Anadolu Cam A.Ş. de bir pilot çalışma yapıldı. Tez dört bölümden oluşur. Teorik olan ilk üç bölümde kalite kavramı vererek Toplam Kalite Yönetimindeki önemini açıklığa kavuşturuldu ve tarihsel gelişimi, kalite maliyeti kavramını ve kalite Maliyeti gruplarının ve elementlerinin anlamı vurgulandı. Kalite maliyet sistemi kavramım ve kalite maliyeti sistemlerini oluşturma aşamasını sunar ve daha sonra kalite maliyeti bilgilerini toplayarak nasıl analiz ve rapor yapılacağı hakkındaki bilgileri sunar. Ve daha sonra birkaç kalite modeli tanıtılır. Dördüncü bölüm bu soru hakkında tamamlanan uygulama dan oluşur. Uygulama sadece bir pilot çalışmadır. Çok küçük bir birim olan termal camdan başlandı. Bu birimde kalite maliyeti elementlerim belirleyerek ve bir rapor örneği hazırlayarak ve bütün şirketi kapsayan bir kalite maliyeti sistemi oluşturarak bu konuya bir başlangıç uygulanabildi.

Total Quality Management, nowadays, is a management perception to be able to compete in intensive competiton environment and to remove its negative effecsts. The companies adopted this perception can increase productivity and decrease cost by developing quality, and consequently can increase their market share by reducing market prices. The aim of thesis is to help taking under control of the cost which are the cause of unquality and reducing them in a medium sized company adopted Total Quality Management ( TOM ). At the beginning, it has been approached to thesis theoretical and given some theoric information that is in literature related to subject. Afterwards, it has been implemented a pilot study in The Anadolu Cam A.Ş. Thesis consists of four chapter. In the first first chapter which are theoretical, by giving the quality concept it has been able to make clear the importance of it in the Total Quality Management, introduced the historical development and the meaning of quality cost concept and quality cost groups and elements, given the concept of Quality Cost System ( QCS ) and the stage of consituting a Quality Cost System; and after that gathering quality cost data it has been able to present information which is about how to analyis and report. And then some quality cost models have been introduced. Fourth chapter consist of the practive that is implemented about this subject. The practice is only a pilot study. It has been commenced form Thermal Glass that is a little unit. In this unit, by detennining quality cost elements and preparing an example of report and forming a Quality cost System covered the whole company, it has been able to be initiator of this subject.
