1926 yılı basınında Gazi Mustafa Kemal ve Türk inkılabı

Abstract

1926 yılı yeni Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin henüz kurulduğu, inkılapların hızla gerçekleştirildiği bir yıldı. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, hızla gerçekleştirdiği inkılapları halka benimsetebilmek için sık sık yurt gezilerine çıkarak hem halkın nabzını tutmuş hem de halka inkılapları anlatmıştır. Tezin konularından bir olan ?İzmir Suikasti? bu gezileri esnasında uygulanmaya çalışılmış ancak başarıya ulaşılamamıştır.1926 basını yapılan inkılaplarla olduğu kadar, inkılap karşıtı olanların yargılandığı İstiklal mahkemesi haberleri ve Lozan'dan arta kalan sorunlar nedeni ile pek çok yabancı devlet haberleri ve onlarla olan ilişkilerle doludur. Dış politika da barışçı politika benimseyen Gazi Mustafa Kemal Paşa, bu tutumunu tasdik etmek istercesine Amerika kıtasına kadar pek çok devletle dostluk anlaşması imzalarken, 1. Dünya Savaşı'ndan beri bir biçimde ülkeyi ele geçirmiş yabancı devlet imtiyazlarına son verme çabası içindedir. Ayrıca basın özellikle Avrupa üzerinde durmuştur, çünkü İtalya başta olmak üzere Avrupa'nın pek çok devleti huzursuzdur. Yeni bir savaş olabileceği izlenimi mevcuttur, bu yüzden basın iç haberlerden çok dış haberlere yer vermiştir. Bunda halkın dikkatini farklı yöne çekme çabası da görülmektedir. Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında basının pek de özgür olmadığı gözlenmekle birlikte Atatürk'ün inkılap politikasının anlatılması ve yayılması konusunda önemli bir unsur olduğu inkâr edilemez.

1926, which came after the foundation of the Repuclic of Turkey, is a year in which the revolutions took place so quickly. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, frequently went for trips within the borders in order to adopt to the people the reforms which he carried out in a short time. He gathered data on public opinion and also told them about the reforms. One of the topics of the thesis, ?Assassination of İzmir? was a failed attempt which occured during one of his trips mentioned above.The agenda of the press of that time was not only full of news on revolutions but also of news on Court of Independence where those counter-revolutionary were being judged and on many foreign states and the relationship between foreign states and Turkey because of the problems arising from The Treaty of Lausanne. While adopting a peaceful foreign policy by signing friendship treaties with states including some states in the American Continent, Gazi Pasha made effort to end privileges granted to foreign states since the 1st World War. The press also focused on Europe because many states in Europe and especially Italy were anxious. A new war was expected. Therefore, the press gave more importance to news on foreign affairs. At this point, it can be considered as an effort to draw attention of the people to different points. It?s observed that the press of that time (years following the foundation of the republic) was not independent. Its undeniable that the press played a major role in explaining and spreading the revolutionary policy of Atatürk.
