Dyned programının uygulanabilme etkililiği hakkında öğrenci görüşleri (Safranbolu örneği)

Abstract

Günümüzde yabancı dilin önemi tartışma götürmez bir gerçektir. Küreselleşmenin bir sonucu olarak kişilerin diğer milletler ile iletişim kurabilmesi gerekliliği neticesinde küresel dil kavramı ortaya atılmıştır. Bu küresel dil ise günümüz dünyasında hiç şüphesiz İngilizcedir. Dolayısıyla ülkemizde İlköğretim 4'üncü sınıftan itibaren yabancı dil dersleri programdaki yerini almıştır. Bu uygulama ile amaçlanan durum küçük yaşlardan itibaren yabancı dil kavramının farkına varılmasını sağlayarak öğrencilerin hayatlarının içerisine yabancı dili yerleştirip, zorunlu ilköğretim süreci sonunda belli bir düzeyde yabancı dil bilgisine ulaşmalarını sağlamaktır. Dil öğretiminde yeni arayışlar neticesinde, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından Dyned İngilizce Dil Eğitimi Sisteminin tüm resmi ilköğretim okullarında uygulanması zorunlu kılınmıştır.Bu çalışmanın araştırma problemi, resmi ilköğretim okullarında uygulamaya konulan Dyned İngilizce Dil Eğitim Programının Safranbolu ilçe merkezindeki ilköğretim okullarında uygulanabilme etkililiğini belirlemek olarak ifade edilebilir. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın amaçlarını şu şekilde ifade etmek mümkündür:a)Dyned İngilizce Dil Eğitimi Programı Safranbolu ilçesinde etkili bir şekilde uygulanabilmekte midir?b)Dyned İngilizce Dil Eğitimi Programının resmi ilköğretim okullarında uygulanması hakkında öğrenci görüşleri nelerdir?c)Bu programın uygulanmasında karşılaşılan sorunlar varsa bunlar nelerdir ve çözüm yolları ne olabilir?Bu sorulara cevap ararken konuya dayanak oluşturacak kuramsal çerçeve ile ilgili literatür taramasına ek olarak öğrenci görüşlerini belirlemeye yönelik anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 2'si demografik olmak üzere 33 sorudan oluşan 5'li likert tipi ölçek kullanılmıştır. Bu anket Safranbolu ilçe merkezindeki 10 İlköğretim Okulu arasından SBS puanları dikkate alınarak belirlenen 3 okulda, her okulda 5, 6, 7 ve 8'inci sınıflara her sınıf için 50, toplam 600 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Bu verilerin değerlendirilmesinde istatistiksel analizler için SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 15.0 programı kullanılmıştır.Yapılan faktör analizi neticesinde öğrenciler uygulama gerekliliğini en önemli faktör olarak belirlemişlerdir. Ancak uygulama verimliliği ve uygulama desteği için olumlu görüş sıralamada geri planda kalmıştır. Netice olarak öğrencilerin uygulamanın gerekli olduğu yönündeki genel görüşlerine rağmen uygulamanın etkililiği açısından bakıldığında bir olumsuzluk göze çarpmaktadır. Bu yönüyle bakıldığında çalışmanın bulgularının oldukça önemli pratik imaları olduğu söylenebilir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Dyned Programı, Yabancı Dil, İngilizce, Bilgisayar Destekli Yabancı Dil Öğretimi.

At the present day, the importance of a foreign language is a reality without dispute. As a result of globalization, the concept of global language has been put forward at the end of the necessity of being able to one?s communication with the other nations? members. This global language at the present world is undoubtly English. Thus, also in our country, English lessons have taken place in the curriculum from the 4th grades. The aim of this application is to get the students be aware of the foreign language at the very early ages and put this foreign language into their life and also at the end of the compulsory primary education let them know that foreign language in a certain level. In the frame of searching new approaches, the aplication of Dyned English Language Education System in all official primary schools has been obliged by the Ministry of National Education.The research problem of this work can be stated as to define the practicabilty effectiveness of Dyned English Language Education Program in primary schools in the centre of Safranbolu.In this context, it is possible to state the aims of this work like this:a)Can Dyned English Language Education Program be applied effectively in Safranbolu?b)What are the students? thoughts about the application of Dyned English Language Education Program in primary schools?c)If there are some problems about the application of this program, what are they and what can be the solutions?While searching answers for these questions, in addition to literature scanning that formed the basis for the theoretical framework of the subject, a survey was done to define the students? thoughts. For this aim, a five level likert scale prepared by the researcher and consist of two demographic of total thirty three questions, was used. This questionnaire was applied to total 600 students of 5, 6, 7 and 8th grades (50 guestionnaires for each grade) in 3 schools that were selected among the ten schools in the centre of Safranbolu according to their SBS (level defining exam) marks. In the analysis process of these data SPSS 15.0 for Windows was used.As a result of factor analysis, the students defined the necessity of application as the most important factor. But in the classification, the positive thought on application efficiency and aplication support is in the back places. As a conclusion, despite the general thoughts on the neccessity of the aplication a trouble stands out when we consider the effectiveness of practicability. When it is considered from this point of view, it can be said that the results of this work have quite important practical hints.Keywords: Dyned Program, Foreign Language, Computer Assisted Language Education, English.
