Sanat ve sanatçı bağlamında otoportre ve portre

Abstract

Otoportre ve portreler resim sanatı içerisinde yer alan, hemen hemen bütün sanatçılartarafından ele alınan ve üzerinde önemle durulan konulardır. Otoportre ve portreler geçmişteyaşamış olan bireylerin görüntüsünü resim aracılığıyla günümüze ulaştıran, onları tanımlayanbirer sanat eseridirler. Portreler, sanat tarihinde sanatın bütün dönemlerinde işlenen, gerek dinigerek gündelik yaşam konularında sık kullanılan resimlerdir.Bu çalışmanın araştırma problemi, günümüze kadar süregelen otoportre ve portrenin tarihselsüreç içerisinde işleniş biçimi, sanat ve sanatçı için önemi, sanat eseri olarak değerlendirilişiyönündeki sorulara yanıt aramaktır.Araştırmanın amacı, sanatçıların yaptıkları otoportre ve portrelerin evrensel anlamda bir sanateseri olma yolundaki genel özelliklerin bulunması, bu konuda aydınlatıcı bilgilerin eldeedilmesi, Türk ve dünya sanatı için bir kaynak oluşturmasıdır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda konu,aşağıda belirtilen yönleri ile ele alınıp incelenmiştir:a) Otoportre ve portrenin bir tanımlama ve ifade aracı olarak değerlendirilmesiyle,otoportre ve portrenin tanımı yapılıp tarihçesi incelenmiş, günümüz sanatına dekfiziksel ve tinsel özelliklerin yansıtılması, sanatçının kendini ifade etmesindekifonksiyonuna değinilmiş, örnek sanatçılar ve sanat eserleriyle açıklanmıştır.b) Bir sanat yapıtı olarak otoportre ve portrenin değerlendirilmesiyle, sanat eseri olmasıiçin gerekli olan plastik değerler açıklanmış, otoportre ve portrenin, resim ve fotoğrafilişkisi incelenmiş, çağdaş bir yapıt olarak ele alınmıştır.Bu araştırma çalışması yapılırken otoportre ve portreleriyle ünlü sanatçılar, eserler incelenmiş,araştırma konusuna uygun olan sanatçılar ve eserler belirlenmiştir. Konuyla ilgili kaynaktaraması yapılmış, çalışma içerisinde çeşitli sanat kitapları, portre ve otoportre üzerine dergi,kitap ve makaleler kullanılmıştır. Çağımızın teknolojik imkânlarının sağladığı internetüzerinden sanat galerileri ve sergilerden de bilgiler toplanmış, resimler alınmıştır. GenellikleTürkçe kaynaklar olmak üzere yabancı kaynaklardan çevirilerden de faydalanılmıştır.Araştırmada varılan sonuç, otoportre ve portrelerin sanatın geçmiş dönemlerinde olduğu gibigünümüz sanatında da sanatçılar tarafından aynı önemle çalışıldığı, kullanılan malzeme neolursa olsun gelecekte de çalışılmaya devam edeceği, daha nice otoportre ve portrelerin sanateseri olarak varlığını sürdüreceğidir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Sanat, Sanatçı, Otoportre, Portre.

Portraits and autoportraits are the subjects that are considered by all of the artists in the art ofpaintings. They are the works of art which define and translate the faces of the people in thepast to the present by the means of their pictures. Portraits are used very often in all parts ofthe art about religion and life in the history of art.The research problem of this study is to answer questions such as how portraits andautoportraits have been treated in the historical development, what is their importance for theart and artist in addition, how have they been treated as a work of art.The objective of the researcher is to find the general features of the portraits and autoportraitsdone by the artists in the way of becoming a universal works of art, to get the enlighteninginformation about this subject and to form a source for Turkish and word art. For thisobjective, the subject is evaluated from different aspects that are stated below:a) Autoportraits and portraits are evaluated as a means of description, after that thedescriptions of the portrait and autoportrait were done and their historical developmentwas examined, then their physical and spiritual features were reflected, then it isstudied that what the function of artist?s own expression in a portrait is. All of thesesubjects are studied by giving examples about artists and their works of art.b) With in the examining of the autoportraits and portraits as a work of art, it is explainedwhat are the essential plastic necessities for becoming a real work of art. Therelationship between autoportraits, portraits and photograps is examined, and theyconsidered as a contemporary works of art.While this study is done, the artists that are famous for their portraits and autoportraits wereconsidered and proper artists and work of arts were chosen. Sources that are related to thissubject are examined and different kinds of books, magazines and articles are used for thisstudy. In addition to this, internet is used for getting different kinds of information and picturesabout the subject. Both Turkish and foreign sources are examined for this study.The conclusion of this study is that portraits and autoportraits are studied in the past as it is inthe present by the artists. No matter how the material is, they will continue to be studied in thefuture, and autoportraits and portraits will keep their existence as a work of art in the future.Key Words: Art, Artist, Autoportrait, Portrait.
