İlköğretim okullarında etkililik sağlanması için öğretmenlerin ailelerden beklentileri (Sakarya ili örneği)

Abstract

Eğitim kurumlarında gerçekleştirilecek değişimlerin temel hedefi daha etkili, kaliteli veverimli eğitim seviyesine ulaşmaktır. Okuldaki öğrencilerin zamanlarının çok büyükkısmı okul ve aile ortamında geçmektedir. Bu nedenle okul ve aile etkileşimi ve işbirliğison derece önem taşımaktadır. Okullarda etkili eğitimi gerçekleştirebilmek için,okulların ailelerle olan ilişkilerinde var olan durumun tespiti önem taşımaktadır.Bu araştırmanın amacı, Sakarya li ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerinokullarında etkililik sağlanabilmesi amacıyla ailelerden beklentilerini tespit etmektir.Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek için yapılan araştırma tarama modelindedir. Araştırmadaöncelikle araştırmacı tarafından literatür taraması yapılmış, uzman görüşleri de alınarakamaca uygun ölçme aracı geliştirilmiştir. Hazırlanan beşli likert tipi anket araştırmanınörneklem grubuna uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2005-2006 eğitim öğretimdöneminde Sakarya li merkez ilköğretim okullarından tabakalı(küme) örneklemiyöntemiyle seçilen 512 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Anket yoluyla elde edilen verilerinçözümlenmesinde boyutlara ilişkin frekans(f) ve yüzde(%), ikili kümekarşılaştırılmasında t- testi, ikiden çok küme karşılaştırılmasında ise tek yönlü varyansanalizinden yararlanılmıştır. Uygulanan varyans analizi sonucunda elde edilenistatistiğin anlamlı bulunması durumunda farklılığın hangi gruptan kaynaklandığınıbelirlemek amacıyla Tukey b testi uygulanmıştır.Araştırmanın sonucunda; ailelerin okul yönetimiyle ilişkileri, öğretmenlerle iletişimi,öğrencilere yardım ve destek sağlaması boyutlarında öğretmenlerin beklentilerinikarşılamada yetersiz oldukları ortaya çıkmıştır. Okullarda etkililik sağlanabilmesi;öğretmen görüşleri cinsiyet, kıdem ve branşa göre farklılık gösterirken; medeni durumagöre manidar bir farklılık ortaya çıkarmadığı belirlenmiştir.Anahtar kelimeler: lköğretim Okulu, Etkililik, Aile

The main goal of the changes to be done at the education institutions is to attain a moreeffective, more qualified and more productive education level. A big part of the time of thestudents spend at the school and at the family- atmosphere. That?s why, the communication andthe cooperation between the school and family are very important. In order to provide effective-education at schools, it is important to determine the situation in the relationship of the schoolsand families.This study has been done to determine the expectations of the teachers who work at theelementary educatıon schools in Sakarya City, from the families in order to provideeffectiveness in their schools.In order to fulfill this goal, the survey model was used. A literature search was done by theresearcher, a measurement-means that is suitable for the goal had been developed by applying tothe opinions of the experts. The questionnaire of five- lickerts type has been applied to theexamplary-group of the research. The examplary part of the research constitutes 512 teachersfrom the elementary schools in Sakarya in 2005-2006 education year. Those teachers have beenselected by the branch examplary method. At the analysis of the data that were resulted from theresearch, frequency(f) in percentage(%) about the dimensions, t-test at the comparison of thetwo- heaps was used and at the comparison of more than two heaps, one-sided-variance analysiswas used. At the circumstance where the statistics were resulted from the variance- analysis hadbeen thought to be meaningful, Tukey b test was applied to determine at which group thedifference was originated.At the result of the research; it is understood that the families are not sufficient enough torespond to the expectations of the teachers at the dimensions of the family. And the schooladministration relations, family and the teacher communication and providing and supportingthe students. In order to provide effectiveness at schools, at this study while the opinions of theteachers have shown a difference according to the sex, seniority, and the branch; marital-statushas been determined not to make a difference at the topic.Keywords: Elementary school, effectiveness, family
