Öğrencilerin orta öğretim kurumu tercihinde etkili olan bazı faktörlerin etki durumu (Adapazarı örneği)

Abstract

Egitim ve ögretim çocugun dogdugu günden itibaren ailesinde baslayıp çevresinde ve okuldadevam eden ve hayatına yansıyarak süreklilik arz eden bir süreç olmaktadır. Herkes egitimalma ve egitim alacagı okulları seçme hakkına sahiptir. Ancak okul seçiminde ögrencilerintercihlerine etki eden bazı faktörler bulunmakta ve bu faktörler okul seçimini kısıtlamaktadır.Cinsiyet, istek ve beklentiler, sahip olunmak istenen meslek, ilgi ve yetenekler, okul basarısırehberlik ve yöneltme çalısmaları, ailelerin sosyo-ekonomik düzeyleri, orta ögretimkurumlarının türü ve sayısı, orta ögretim kurumlarının ÖSS basarısı, ögrencilerin sınavbasarıları (OKS), orta ögretim kurumlarının verdigi egitim ve ögretimin niteligi ile ortaögretim kurumlarına ait özellikler bu faktörler arasındadır.Bu arastırma ile ögrencilerin orta ögretim kurumu tercihlerinde etkili olan faktörlerden okultürüne göre hangilerinin etkili oldugu belirlenmeye çalısılmıstır .Amaçlanan bu hedef dogrultusunda, tercih edilen okul türüne göre, okul tercihinde etkili olanbireysel ve tercih edilen okullara ait faktörlerin etki sırasının ne oldugu, bireysel mi yoksatercih edilen okullara ait faktörlerin mi daha etkili oldugu, tercih edilen okul türlerine göredemografik özellikler arasında anlamlı bir farkın olup olmadıgı, bireysel ve okullara aitfaktörlerin cinsiyet, anne-babanın egitim durumu, ailenin geliri hane halkı nüfusu ve okul türüdegiskenlerine göre anlamlı fark gösterip göstermedigi sorularına cevap aranmıstır.Bu amaçla Adapazarı'nda bulunan 21 ortaögretim kurumundaki I. Sınıf ögrencilerinden 523kisi ile anket çalısması yapılmıs, elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmistir.Okul türüne göre demografik farklılıkları belirlemek için iki degiskenli Kay-Kare testikullanılmıstır .Okul tercihine etki eden bireysel faktörlerle ilgili verilerin analizinde KruskalWallis analizi, okullara ait faktörlerle ilgili verilerin analizi için ise tek faktörlü ANOVAkullanılmıstır .Yapılan çalısma sonucunda okul tercihinde tüm okul türlerine göre benzer faktörlerin etkisioldugu, en etkili faktörlerin kendilerinin ve ailelerinin istek ve beklentileri ile sahip olmakistedikleri meslek ve tercih edilecek okulun egitim kalitesinin oldugu saptanmıstır

Education is a time period which starts with the born of the child in his family and continuesat school and reflects to his life.Everybody has the rights to educate and to choose where theyeducate, but there are some factors which affect and to restrict the students choices.Tehese factors are the sex, the wishes and the expectations of the student, the job which hewants to have, school success, guidance works, the kind and the number of secondary schools,the economic level of the family, the success of the schools in ÖSS, the success of thestudents in OKS, the quality of the education at schools.It is studied that to determine the factors which affects the students? choices of the highschool, according to the kinds of the schools.With this aim, it is asked that, according to the kind of the school, what the order of thepersonal factors? affects and the factors of the schools which are choosen is, which is moreaffected; the personal factors or the factors of the schools which are choosen, according to thekinds of the schools wheter there is a demografic difference or not, the personal factors andthe factors of the school change due to the sex of the students the parents? education, incomepopulatin and the changes of the kinds of the schools, or not.Whit this aim questionnaire is done with 523 1st class students in 21 secondary schools inAdapazarı. These results are analyzed by SPSS packet programme. Kay-Kare Test is used todetermine the demografic differences due to the kinds of the school. To analyze the results ofthe personel factors which affect the school choice , Kruskal Wallis analyze is used and toanalyze the results which are related to the schools, ANOVA (one factor based) is used.As a result of the findings, it is expressed that in the choices of the schools, similar factors areimportant on the other hand, the most important factors are the students and their families?wishes and expectations, and the job which they want to have and the education quality of theschool which they go.
