Bu çalışmada nsanın inanç dünyasında yaşadığı ve maddi alemine de az yada çok şekilde yönverdiği Kutsal Metin çevirilerinde yaşanılan zorluklar ele alınmıştır. Çevirmen için beklide enbüyük zorluk olan çevirdiği metnin sahibiyle çeviri şeklinde görüş alışverişi yapamamasıdır.şte Kutsal Metinlerde bu zorluk en büyük ölçüye ulaşmaktadır. Kutsal Metin çevirirleri bumetne inanan insanlar olduğu müddetçe olacaktır.Bir Kutsal Metnin bir kere bir dile çevrilmesi de bu işin bittiği ve bu Metnin bir daha çevrilmesigerekmediği anlamına gelmez. Çünkü dil evrimleşen bir olgu olduğundan dolayı devamlımüddetçe Kutsal Metin belli bir süre geçtikten sonra tekrar o dile çevrilmek zorundadır. Örnekolarak bundan 50 yıl kadar önce Türkçeye tercüme edilmiş Kur'an çevirisini bugün anlamaktazorluk çekebiliriz. Çünkü geçen bu 50 yılda Türkçe az veya çok ölçüde evrimleşmiştir. BugünKur'an tekrar çevrilmelidir. Çünkü birçok kelime anlam değişikliği kazanmış, birçoğukullanımdan kalkmış ve birçok yeni kelimede dilimize girmiştir. şte bu sebepten dolayı KutsalMetin çevirileri oldukça zor ve devamlı değişken bir konudur. Bu metinleri çevirirken kişibirçok tepkiyle karşılaşabilir. Çünkü her insan kendi inandığının ve anladığının doğru olduğunusöylemektedir.Bu çalışmada ncil çevirisinin kısa bir tarihçesi ile birlikte çevirilerin sonuçları açıklanmayaçalışılmış ve örneklenmiştir. Kutsal Kitabımız olan Kur' anı Kerim de geçen bazı kelimelerinArapça kökenli olmamalarından dolayı bu kelimelerin Arapça anlamlarıyla mı alınıp yoksaalındığı dildeki anlamıyla çevrileceği bir sorundur. Ayrıca zengin Arapça gramerinin diğerdillere uygulanırken karşılaşılan zorluklarda bir başka konudur. lk ncil çevirilerinden olanVulgata ile başlayan ve Martin Luther ile Batı dünyasının aydınlanma dönemine girmesinisağlayan çeviri insanlık tarihçesinde oldukça önemli bir yerdedir. Çünkü birçok insan bugünKutsal Metinleri orijinal diliyle okumaktan ziyade çevrilmiş haliyle okumakta ve nançdünyasını şekillendirmektedir.Kutsal metin çevirilerinin en büyük gerekliliğinden biride çevirmen her ki dile de mutlakahakim olmasıdır. Metnin asla orijinal anlamı dışına çıkmadan erek dildeki anlamını vermelidir.Mutlaka metinde olmayan kelimeleri çeviri esnasında uygun bir şekilde belirtmelidir.
The aim of this study is to analyze the difficulties arising during the process oftranslation of the sacred texts which shapes the lives of the true believers bothspiritually and materially. The main problem of the translator is that he may not havethe chance to consult to the author about the text is also significant in sacred texts. Thesacred texts will always be translated as long as the people believe in them.Once the sacred text is translated into another language that does not mean that it doesnot have to be translated again. This is because of the living and evolutionary structureof the language. It is difficult for us to understand the Holly Kur?an translated fiftyyears ago. The Holly Kur?an has to be translated again today because the meaning ofsome words have changed, some of the words are not in use anymore and a lot of newwords are formed in Turkish vocabulary. Translating sacred texts is also difficultbecause each translators insists on what he believes is the only truth. Vulgata being oneof the first Bible translations in the world and the efforts of Marthin Luther refers to theAge of Enlightment. This is very important because this historical and intellectualmovement allows a lot of people to read the translated versions of the original texts.The aim of this study is also to give brief information on the history of Bible translationand to discuss the problems arised during the translation process. The words which arenot etymologically Arabic is problematic in the Holly Kur?an. The translator has todecide whether he should translate the Arabic meaning of the word or the meaning ofthe word in the target language. Creative and rich structure of Arabic grammer troublesthe translator in certain ways. The sacred text translator needs to become a languageexpert of both languages.
