Operanın tarihsel gelişimi içinde Bel Canto sanatının teknik ve müzikal yönleriyle incelenmesi

Abstract

On altı yüzyılın ikinci yarısında talya'da şekillenen Bel Canto, güzel şarkı söylemesanatıdır. Belirli bir döneme damgasını vuran bu sanat, tarihsel süreçte, eşi görülmemişbir vokal beceri ve ses ustalığına dönüşerek çevresindeki ülkeleri etkisi altına alır. Teknikanlamda şarkıcının, nefes kullanımının ve gırtlak çevikliğinin sınırlarını zorlar. Bunakarşın, müzikal cümlelerin icra kalitesi, müzikal ifadelerdeki üstünlük, diğer kültürlerarasında ayrı bir hayranlık uyandırır. On yedinci ve on sekizinci yüzyıllarda, talya'nınhalk kültüründen yola çıkan büyük besteciler bu sanatı yalnız bir ses disiplini ile değil,besteleriyle de şarkıcıların ustalıklarını sergileyecek bir arenaya dönüştürerek tarihiderinden etkilerler. Dolayısıyla Bel Canto, sadece fizyolojik bir başarıyı, temiz icrakalitesini ya da ses pedagojisini değil aynı zamanda Avrupa müziğinin belirli birdönemini kapsar.Ses sanatı içinde yer alan Bel Canto, nörolojik ve fizyolojik bir koordinasyonunsonucunda oluşan insan sesinin yüksek idealidir. Bilimsel unsurları barındırmasına karşınbu sanat, belki talyan kültürüne ait bir sır olarak saklanması düşüncesiyle belki dedönemin biyolojik faaliyetlerdeki yoksunluğu sebebiyle zamanla unutulmaya yüz tutar.Müzikal yapısı ise diğer ses sanatlarına nazaran ayrı bir disiplin ve zeka gerektirir. BelCantonun temiz ve yumuşak ton kalitesi, on dokuzuncu yüzyıla yaklaşırken, daha çok sesyüksekliği gerektiren opera salonlarının kapasite artışı ve buna bağlı olarak, bestecilerinbu talebi karşılayacak besteleri karşısında ayakta duramaz.Tüm bu olumsuzluklar sebebiyle bir sır olarak tarihe gömülen bu sanatın incelikleriniaraştırmak, yeniden gün yüzüne çıkarmak, yeni yetişen ancak sağlıklı ses üretimindenyoksun şarkıcılarla tanıştırmak bu çalışmanın en önemli amaçlarından biridir.Folklor ve müzikoloji alanındaki araştırmalar gözler önüne serer ki, müzik kültüründebüyük bir öneme sahip Bel Canto konusu, dünya çapında yapılan akademik çalışmalariçinde yetersizdir.Ülkemizde ise neredeyse bu konuda hiç bir kaynağa rastlanmamaktadır.Bununla birlikte, kültürler arası iletişimin tartışılmaz faydaları açısından bu tekniğin halkbilim ve operanın tarihsel süreci içerisinde yöntemleri açısından incelenmesi, bu alandayapılacak olan çalışmalara ışık tutacak ve özellikle önemine karşın dilimizde daha önceteknik ve müzikal yönü açısından incelenmemiş olan bel canto konusuna kaynakoluşturacaktır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Opera, Bel Canto, Şarkı Söyleme

Bel Canto which is derived in Italy in the second half of the 16th century, is the art ofbeautiful singing. The art which played an important role in a certain period, turned intoan unbelievable vocal skill and voice mastery, effected surrounding countries during itshistorical process. Technically it forces the limits of the breath usage and glottal agilityof the singer. In contrary it fascinates the other cultures with the quality of theperformance of musical phrases and with the superiority musical expressions. In the 17thand the 18th centuries, the composers who were inspired by the italian folk culture, tooktheir places in the music history, not only with the vocal discipline but also with theircompositions that enable the singers to show their mastery. Therefore Bel Canto does notinclude only physiologic success, clean quality of interpretation or a vocal pedagogy butat the same time it includes a certain period of European music.As a vocal art, Bel Canto is the high ideal of the human sound that is a result ofneurological and physiological coordination. Although Bel Canto includes the scientificelements, it began to be forgotten with time, maybe because reserving it as a secret ofItalian culture or the absence of biological studies of the time. And its musical structurerequires different discipline and intelligence compared with other vocal arts. Late in the18th century, the clean and soft tune quality of Bel Canto can not stand up against thecompositions which are composed because of the demand due to the increase in thecapacity of the theatres that required more volume.The main aims of this work are to research the details of the art remained in the historybecause of the difficulties it faced, reintroduce it with the present day, introduce it to thesingers lacking a healthy vocal production.Folklore and musicology researchs indicate that, the subject of Bel Canto which is veryimportant in music culture, is not enough in the worldwide academic researchs. In ourcountry it is almost impossible to find a source on this subject. In addition, searching ofthis technique in terms of the methods during the historical process of folklore and operawould lead the other researchs and would be a references in our language in the field ofBel Canto which is never studied with the technical and musical ways.Keywords : Opera, Bel Canto, Singing
