Mountstuart Elphinstone’un gözünden Afganlarda sosyal yaşam

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Afganistan'daki sosyal hayat üzerine bilgiler ve düşünceler aktarılmıştır. Afganistan'ın, coğrafi konumu ve bölgenin birçok ticaret yolunun üzerinde ona önemli bir değer kazandırmıştır. Nitekim tarihi süreç içinde bölgede, farklı kavmi grupların barınmış ve bu kavimlerin kültürlerinin bir araya gelmesi de zengin bir ilişkiler ağı doğurmuştur. Bölgede geniş bir ticari ağın kurulmasının yanı sıra, söz konusu dönemde ilim ve bilim merkezleri doğmuş, medreselerde yetişen öğrenciler civar ülkelere giderek sahip oldukları bilgi birikimlerini aktarmışlardır. Zenginlik sadece bir alanda değil; dil, ırk, din, mimari, sanat gibi birçok alanda kendisini göstermiştir. Hiç şüphesiz bölgenin asırlar boyunca değişik devletler tarafından sürekli işgale uğramasının nedenleri arasında bu gibi sebepler gösterilebilir. Çok uluslu yapı bölgeye kültürel çeşitlilik kazandırmıştır. Ancak kültürel çeşitlilik dezavantajları da beraberinde getirmiştir. Nitekim bu çok uluslu yapıyı muhafaza etmek ve merkezi bir otorite kurmak çoğu kere mümkün olmamıştır. Bu çalışma, Afgan toplum yapısını ve bölgenin siyasi hayatına yön veren dinamikleri anlamamız açısından bizlere ışık tutacak bilgiler sunmaktadır. Böylece bölge tarihinde meydana gelen olayları daha iyi tahlil ve analiz etmek mümkün olacaktır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Mountstuart Elphinstone, Afganistan, Afganlarda Sosyal Yaşam.

This study explains the ideas and information about the social like in Afghanistan. The geographical position of Afghanistan and the fact that thw region is on the way of many gave itself a significant value. For this reason, the historical process of the region witnesses the settlement of different etcnic group in the country and the rich web of realatins between these ethnic groups. As well as the establishment of a wide trade network, science and ilm centers have been raised in this period and students who have been educated in the madrasas went to neighboring countries and elucated their experiences. Richness was not only in the one area but also in many other areas like language, nation religion, architecture and art. Doubtlessly, these facts can be one of the reason why this region has been invaded continuously by many different countries. Multi-ethnic structure brought in cultural diversity in the region. However, cultural diversity had also negative results. Thus the preservatşon of the multi-national structure and the establishment of a central authority were not possible. This study present us the dynamics that guided the political life of the region. In this wat, it will be possible to analyze and interpret the incidents in the history of the region in a better way.
