Hermann Hesse’nin çarklar arasında (unterm rad) adlı romanı ile Michael Haneke’nin beyaz bant : bir Alman çocuk öyküsü (das weibe band : eine deutsche kindergeschichte) adlı filminde eğitim eleştirisi

Abstract

Hermann Hesse'nin Çarklar Arasında (Unterm Rad, 1906) romanı, 20. yüzyılın ilk yıllarını anlatmaktadır. Beyaz Bant. Bir Alman Çocuk Öyküsü ( Das Weiße Band. Eine deutsche Kindergeschichte, 2009) adlı, Michael Haneke'nin senarist ve yönetmenliğini yaptığı film ise 1900-1914 yılları arasındaki dönemin eğitim anlayışındaki ve politikalarındaki tutarsızlıkların, eğitim-ideoloji ilişkisinin eleştirisini sunar. İki eserde de baskıcı, sert ve otoriter faşist bir rejimin hakim olduğu çarpık bir eğitim anlayışı ve toplum sınıfları içerisindeki şiddet olgusu ile arasındaki bağlantıların izleri sürülmüştür. Roman ve filmdeki figürlerin esrarengiz ölümleri, faili meçhul cinayetler ve öz kıyım ile sonlanan hayatlar bunun göstergesidir. I. Dünya Savaşı'nı da içine alan, 20. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinde; baskıcı, ideolojik eğitim modellerinin eleştirilip, dönemin toplumundaki eğitim ve şiddet ilişkisi sorgulanarak, bir nevi savaş eleştirisi yapılmaktadır. Amacımız; biri film, diğeri roman türünde olan Alman edebiyat ve sinema dünyasında tanınan her iki eser aracılığı ile gelecek nesillerin biçimlenmesinde, eğitimin önemli bir rol oynadığını belirtmektir. Bunun yanı sıra; eğitim politikalarındaki çarpıklık, dünya toplumlarının (dolayısıyla dünya barışının) yalnızca bugününü değil, geleceğini de sakatlayacağı gerçeğine değinilmektedir. Çalışmamız kapsamında; eserlerde geçen dönemin Almanyası'na egemen olan ve I. Dünya Savaşı'nın temellerini atan ideolojik eğitim anlayışının eleştirisini sunacağız. Ortak tema ekseninde ele alınan bu iki eser, baskıcı eğitim anlayışına ve savaşa karşıt iki Alman sanatçı tarafından üretilmiş olup, sanatın iki ayrı kolu (sinema ve edebiyat) ile ilişkilidir. Bu nedenle çalışmada, edebiyatın disiplinler-sanatlar arasılık (medyalararasılık) imkanları açığa çıkarılmaktadır. Metiniçi ve metindışı inceleme yöntemlerinin harmanlandığı çalışma, Karşılaştırmalı Edebiyat Bilimi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmektedir.

The novel Hermann Hesse Between The Wheels (Unterm Rad, 1906) describes the first years of the 20th century. White Ribbon. A German Children's Story (Das Weiße Band. Eine deutsche Kindergeschichte, 2009) Michael Haneke's script, which he wrote and directed, evaluates the critique of the inconsistencies and the relationship between education and ideology in the educational approach and policies of the period between 1900 and 1914. Both works have been traced to a distorted educational understanding dominated by an oppressive, harsh and authoritarian fascist regime, and the links between violence in the classes of society. The figures in the novel and film; the mysterious deaths, the unsolved murders and the life that ended with self-slaughter are indicative of this. In the first quarter of the 20th century, including World War I; criticism of the oppressive and ideological education models and the relationship between education and violence in the society of the period is questioned. Our aim; both of which are film and one novel; German literature and the world of cinema through the text recognized in the formation of future generations, education plays an important role. And also; The distortions in education policies refer to the fact that world societies (and therefore world peace) will not only cripple the present but also the future. Within the scope of our study; We will present the critique of the ideological education concept that dominated Germany in the period and laid the foundations of the First World War. In the common theme axis, these two works are produced by two German artists who are opposed to the concept of oppressive education and war and are related to two separate branches of art (cinema and literature). Therefore, the disciplines and interdisciplinary possibilities of literature are revealed. The study, in which the in-text and non-text examination methods are blended, is evaluated by the method of Comparative Literature Science.
