Sanat Eserlerinde Protest Duruşun İncelenmesi: Türkçe Rap Müzik Örneği = Protest Attitude in Artworks: A Case Study of Turkish Rap Music

Abstract

Araştırmada sanat eserlerinin protest yönelim barındıran özellikleri incelenecektir. Yönelimin nedenleri ve sonuçları örneklemler üzerinden tartışılarak araştırma ilerleyecek ve Protest yönelimin toplum üzerindeki etkisi anlaşılmaya çalışılarak yeni nesil siyaset ortamlarının doğası gözler önüne serilecektir. Özellikle siyasetin yeni medya ortamlarına kaydığı göz önüne alınarak düşünüldüğünde protest yönelime sahip sanat eserlerinin artık daha görünür yerlerde karşımıza çıktığı ve insanları eleştirdiği konularda iletişime ve etkileşime yönlendirerek bir tür cemaatleşmeye yol açtığı farklı araştırmalarca konu alınan bir durum haline gelmektedir. Görünür hale gelen protest yönelimin özelliklerini anlamak için son birkaç yılda yükselişini sürdüren ve z kuşağı üzerinde büyük etkisi olan Rap Müzik eserleri içerik analizi ve söylem analizi kullanılarak incelenecektir. Bu müzik türü 1970'lerde Amerika'nın siyahi vatandaşlarının yoğunlukta yaşadığı bir bölgede isyan müziği olarak çıkmış ve farklı formları olsa da gelişimini bu doğrultuda sürdürmüştür. Bu nedenle günümüz protest yönelimin popüler bir örneği haline gelmekte ve akademik yazına katkı sağlaması açısından incelenmesi gereken bir alan olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Özellikle Rap müziğin popülerliği barındırdığı düşüncelerin daha fazla insan tarafından benimsenmesine yol açmaktadır. Sayısal bağlamda düşünüldüğünde bu müzik tarzının sanatçıları son birkaç yıldır Türkiye'de en çok dinlenen sanatçılar konumundadır. Öyle ki 2021 yılında en çok dinlenen 3 sanatçının 2 tanesi Rap müzik sanatçısıdır. Bu şarkılarda geçen protest öğeleri gözler önüne sermek ve bu öğeleri analize tabi tutmak araştırmanın ana amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonunda bu popüler müzik türünün protest yönelim bağlamında hangi konuları ne şekilde ele aldığı anlaşılmaya çalışılacaktır.

The research will examine the features of artworks that contain a protest orientation. The research will progress by discussing the reasons and consequences of the orientation through examples, and by trying to understand the impact of the protest orientation on society, the nature of the new generation of political environments will be revealed. Considering that politics is shifting to new media environments, it has become a situation that is discussed by different studies, where artworks with a protest orientation are now appearing in more visible places and leading to a kind of congregation by directing people to communicate and interact on the issues they criticize. In order to understand the features of the protest orientation that has become visible, Rap Music works that have continued to rise in recent years and have a great impact on Generation Z will be examined using content analysis and discourse analysis. This music genre emerged as a protest music in a region where African American citizens of the United States lived in high density in the 1970s, and has continued its development in this direction, even though it has different forms. For this reason, it is becoming a popular example of the protest orientation of today and is emerging as an area that needs to be studied in terms of contributing to academic writing. The popularity of Rap music, especially, leads to the adoption of the thoughts it contains by more people. When considered in a numerical context, the artists of this musical style have been the most listened to artists in Turkey for the past few years. So much so that two of the three most listened to artists in 2021 are Rap music artists. Exposing the protest elements in these songs and subjecting them to analysis is the main purpose of the research. At the end of the research, it will be tried to understand how this popular music genre deals with which issues in the context of protest orientation.
