Yapay zekâ haberciliği ve dijital etik = Artificial intelligence journalism and digital ethics

Abstract

Teknolojik gelişmeler, haber endüstrisi üzerinde giderek artan bir etki yaratmaktadır. Haberin toplanmasından tüketimine kadar bütün süreçlerde dijital teknolojiler belirleyici bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu dijital dönüşüm, gazetecilikte yeni mesleki pratiklerin ortaya çıkmasına ve habercilik faaliyetlerinin dijital medya platformlarına taşınmasına neden olmuştur. Bu bağlamda, yapay zekâ teknolojileriyle birlikte haber üretimi, günümüzde önemli bir tartışma konusu haline gelmiştir. Yapay zekâ, haber üretim sürecinin her aşamasında; bilgi toplama, yazma ve dağıtım gibi aşamalarda kullanılmaktadır. Bu, gazetecilik mesleğinde köklü değişikliklere yol açabilecek potansiyele sahiptir. Yapay zekâ ile teknolojik gelişmelerin habercilik üzerindeki etkisi, beraberinde önemli değişiklikleri ve etik sorunları getirmiştir. Yapay zekâ destekli haber üretiminde birçok etik problem ortaya çıkmaktadır. Etik, toplum tarafından kabul edilen doğru ve ahlaki davranışları tanımlarken, dijital dünyada bu kavram "dijital etik" olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Bu araştırma, yapay zekâ teknolojilerinin habercilik alanındaki etkilerini, yapay zekâ destekli haber üretiminin nasıl gerçekleştiğini ve dijital etik çerçevesinden bu sürecin nasıl yönetilebileceğini incelemektedir. Araştırma kapsamında, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan görüşme yöntemiyle; yapay zekâ uzmanlarından, gazetecilerden ve akademisyenlerden görüşleri alınarak kapsamlı bir içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Bu araştırma, yapay zekâ haberciliğinin mesleki etiği açısından ortaya çıkan sorunları dört ana tema üzerinden inceleyerek; etik ilkeleri, dijital etik sorunları, gazetecilik pratiklerini ve yapay zekâ haberciliğinin kapsamını değerlendirmiştir. Özellikle akademisyenler yapay zekâ haberciliğinin etik boyutlarına daha fazla vurgu yaparken etik standartların oluşturulmasının gerekliliğine ve mevcut düzenlemelerin yetersiz olduğuna dikkat çekmişlerdir. Gazeteciler ise pratik zorluklara ve yapay zekâ ile haber üretiminin mesleki pratiklere olan etkilerine odaklanmıştır. Sonuçlar, yapay zekâ haberciliğinin büyük fırsatlar sunduğunu, ancak dikkatli yönetilmediği takdirde ciddi etik sorunlara yol açabileceğini göstermektedir.

Technological developments have an increasing impact on the news industry. Digital technologies play a decisive role in all processes from news gathering to consumption. This digital transformation has led to the emergence of new professional practices in journalism and the transfer of journalistic activities to digital media platforms. In this context, news production with artificial intelligence technologies has become an important topic of discussion today. Artificial intelligence is used at every stage of the news production process, such as information gathering, writing and distribution. This has the potential to lead to radical changes in the journalism profession. The impact of artificial intelligence and technological developments on journalism has brought significant changes and ethical problems. Many ethical problems arise in artificial intelligence-supported news production. While ethics defines the correct and moral behaviours accepted by society, in the digital world this concept is called "digital ethics". This research examines the effects of artificial intelligence technologies in the field of journalism, how artificial intelligence-supported news production takes place and how this process can be managed within the framework of digital ethics. Within the scope of the research, a comprehensive content analysis was conducted by interview method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, by taking the opinions of artificial intelligence experts, journalists, and academicians. This research analysed the problems arising in terms of professional ethics of artificial intelligence journalism through four main themes: ethical principles, digital ethical problems, journalistic practices and the scope of artificial intelligence journalism. While academics emphasised the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence journalism more, they drew attention to the necessity of establishing ethical standards and the inadequacy of existing regulations. Journalists, on the other hand, focused on practical difficulties and the effects of news production with artificial intelligence on professional practices. The results show that artificial intelligence journalism offers great opportunities, but if not managed carefully, it can lead to serious ethical problems.
