1950 Sonrası Avangard Sanatta Zaman Kavramı ve Temsil Biçimleri = The Concept of Time and Forms of Representation in Post-1950 Avant-Garde Art

Abstract

Zaman ve süreç kavramları 1950 sonrası ortaya çıkan performans sanatı, oluşum (happening), Fluxus, Arazi Sanatı, kavramsal sanat ve Arte Povera gibi avangard sanat hareketlerinde ele alınan temel konulardandır. Avangard sanatçılar, zaman ve süreç kavramlarını yapıtlarında araştırırken yaşam deneyimlerine dayanan kişisel veya kolektif etkileşimlerle şimdiki zamanın gerçekliğini yakalama amacıyla ilerler. Avangard sanatçı içinde yaşadığı zaman diliminin tüm anlarını sanatsal bir yapıta dönüştürürken çevresindeki hayatla etkinleşen diyalektik bir ilişki içindedir. Böylece avangard sanat yapıtlarında zaman kavramı, oluşum, eylem ve süreç içinde gelişen olayların yarattığı deneyimler aracılığıyla temsil edilir. Nitel perspektif ile yürütülen bu çalışmanın amacı 1950 sonrası gelişen performans sanatı, Fluxus, Arazi Sanatı, Arte Povera gibi avangard sanat hareketlerinde zaman kavramının nasıl temsil edildiğini ortaya koymaktır.

The concepts of time and process are among the key issues addressed in avant-garde art movements such as performance art, happening, Fluxus, Land Art, conceptual art and Arte Povera that emerged after 1950. While exploring the concepts of time and process in their works, avant-garde artists proceed with the aim of capturing the reality of the present through personal or collective interactions based on life experiences. While the avant-garde artist transforms all moments of the time period in which she/he lives into an artistic work, she/he is in an active dialectical relationship with the life around her/his environment. Thus, in avant-garde artworks, the concept of time is represented through the experiences created by the events that develop in formation, action and process. The main aim of this qualitative study is to reveal how the concept of time is represented in avant-garde art movements such as performance art, Fluxus, Land Art, Arte Povera, which developed after 1950.
