Kültür, toplumu bir arada tutan bir dinamik olmakla birlikte toplumsal yapının en önemli birleştirici ögesidir. Halk kültürü ise, halkın ortak duyuş, düşünüş ve zihniyetini oluşturan bir bileşkedir. Toplumun bütün kesimlerini ortak paydada buluşturan, kültür kalıplarıdır. Özünde süreklilik, uzlaşı, deneyimleme, ortak ruh ve bilinç vardır. Muhtevası ile temsil ettiği topluma ayrıcalıklı bir konum kazandıran ve bu haliyle onu diğerlerinden ayıran halk kültürünün korunması, kollanması ve yaşatılması toplumun geleceği açısından büyük önem taşır. Kültürün korunması, gerek sözlü gerek yazılı gerekse görsel kısımlarının gözden geçirilmesi, bu türlerde kültüre ne şekilde yer verildiğinin tespiti yönündeki adımlara da gereken önem verilmelidir. Bu korunma ise, ancak toplumun değerlerine, yapısına, geçmişi ve geleceğine ayna tutan birtakım enstrümanlarla olabilmektedir. Kuşkusuz bu enstrümanlardan biri de sinemadır. Sinemanın kültür ile olan ilişkisi doğrudan doğruya bir aktarım ve yansıtma üzerine kuruludur. Sinema ekranına düşen görüntüler, kültürün dolayısıyla halk kültürünün bir bileşkesi ve özüdür. Halk kültürüne ait oyunlar, uygulamalar, ritüeller, inanışlar, töreler vs. sinema için de vazgeçilmez ve paha biçilemez malzemelerdir. İyi bir senarist ve yönetmenin eliyle bu malzemeler başarılı bir şekilde işlendiğinde ortaya bir saha derleme, arşiv, külliyat ve de monografi çalışması çıkabilmektedir. İşte buradan hareketle çalışmada Türk kültürü-sinema ilişkisi genelinde, "Yüksel Aksu'nun yönettiği "Dondurmam Gaymak", "Entelköy Efeköy'e Karşı", "İftarlık Gazoz" filmlerinde Türk kültürünün ve halkbiliminin kullanımı Sedat Veyis Örnek'in "Türk Halkbilimi" adlı kitabında yaptığı "Halkbilimi Ürünlerinin Kadroları" tasnif çalışması etrafında incelenmiştir.
Culture is a dynamic that holds society together and is the most important unifying element of social structure. On the other hand, folk culture is a composite that forms the people's common feelings, thinking, and mentality. The cultural patterns bring all segments of society together on a common ground. Its essence is continuity, consensus, experimentation, common spirit, and consciousness. The preservation, protection, and survival of folk culture, which gives a privileged position to the society it represents with its content and distinguishes it from others in this way, is of great importance for the future of society. The protection of culture, the review of both oral, written, and visual parts, and the steps to determine how culture is included in these genres should be given due importance. This protection can only be possible through specific instruments that mirror the society's values, structure, past, and future. Undoubtedly, one of these instruments is cinema. Cinema's relationship with culture is based on direct transmission and reflection. The images that fall on the cinema screen are a combination and essence of culture and, therefore, of folk culture. Games, practices, rituals, beliefs, ceremonies, etc., belonging to folk culture, are indispensable and invaluable materials for cinema. When these materials are successfully processed by a good screenwriter and director, a field compilation, archive, corpus, and monograph work can emerge. From this point of view, in this study, the use of Turkish culture and folklore in the films "Dondurmam Gaymak," "Entelköy Efeköy'e Karşı," "İftarlık Gazoz" directed by Yüksel Aksu is analyzed within the framework of Sedat Veyis Örnek's classification study "Cadres of Folklore Products" in his book "Turkish Folklore."
