İklim, doğal çevrenin şekillenmesini kontrol eden önemli bir fiziki coğrafya etmenidir. İklim elemanları içerisinde zaman ve mekân bakımından en fazla değişkenlik gösteren parametrelerden birisi yağıştır. Yağış; miktarı, rejimi, etkinliği, şiddeti gibi farklı özellikleriyle su kaynakları, bitkiler ve tarım için önemli etkilere sahiptir. Son yıllarda iklim değişikliğinin de etkisiyle yağışların yıl içerisindeki dağılışında, şiddetinde ve sıklığında değişkenlikler gözlenmekte ve bu durum aşırı yağışlar, dolu, sel gibi afetlere neden olmaktadır. Bu amaçla çalışmanın hipotezi "İklim değişikliğine bağlı olarak Türkiye'de yağış rejimi ve bölgelerinde dönemsel değişkenlik var mıdır?" sorusunun cevabını aramaktır. Türkiye'de bulunan 108 istasyona ait yağış verilerinin (1961-2020) öncelikle günlük, aylık, mevsimlik ve yıllık tutarlarının analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmada yağış rejim bölgelerinin belirlenmesinde faktör analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntem ile yağış değerleri özdeğer ve varyans değerlerine göre kümelenmiştir. Belirlenen bu kümelere bağlı olarak yağış rejimi ve bölgeleri tespit edilmiştir. Yağış rejim bölgelerindeki değişimi daha net bir şekilde belirleyebilmek için 1961-1990 ve 1991-2020 aralıklarını kapsayan iki referans dönem ele alınmıştır. Faktör analizine göre Türkiye'de üç yağış rejimi ve etkili olduğu bölgeler belirlenmiştir. Buna göre çalışma kapsamında kullanılan 108 istasyondan 61'i ilk referans dönemde Akdeniz yağış rejimine ait faktör grubunda, diğer istasyonlar Karasal ve Karadeniz yağış rejimi grubunda sınıflanmıştır. Faktör analizi sonucunda referans dönemler arasındaki farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan referans dönemler arasında en belirgin değişkenlik eğilimi Akdeniz rejim bölgesinden Karadeniz rejim bölgesine yönelik olmuştur. İlk referans dönemde (1961-1990) Akdeniz yağış rejimi eğilimi gösteren ve Marmara Bölgesi'nde bulunan bazı istasyonlar (Edirne, Kırklareli, Kumköy, Sarıyer, Tekirdağ ve Yalova) ikinci referans dönemde (1991-2020) "kış yağışlarının azalması" ve "yaz yağışlarının artmasıyla" Karadeniz yağış rejimi eğilimi göstermiştir. Bununla birlikte 1961-2020 dönemini kapsayan 60 yıllık uzun periyot incelendiğinde genel olarak 1961-1990 dönemini kapsayan birinci referans dönemiyle uyumlu sonuçlar çıkmıştır. İkinci referans dönem olan 1991-2020'de farklılıkların oluşmasında ekstrem yağışların etkili olduğu düşünülmektedir. Akdeniz yağış rejim bölgesinden Karasal yağış rejim bölgesine geçiş yapan istasyonlarda kış dönemi yağışlarında azalmalar görülürken ilkbahar yağışlarında artışlar görülmüştür. Karasal yağış rejim bölgesinden Akdeniz yağış rejimine geçiş yapan istasyonlarda ise ilkbahar yağışlarında azalmalar, kış yağışlarında ise artışlar tespit edilmiştir. Karadeniz yağış rejim bölgesinden Akdeniz yağış rejim bölgesine geçiş yapan istasyonda da sonbahar yağışlarındaki azalmalar dikkati çekmektedir. Akdeniz yağış rejiminden Karadeniz yağış rejimine değişiklik gösteren istasyonlarda da kış yağışlarında azalmalar, sonbahar ve yaz yağışlarında ise artışlar gözlemlenmiştir. Bu durum iklim değişikliğinin etkisiyle son yıllarda ekstrem yağışların, yağış şiddetinin ve frekansının artması ve yağışın mevsimlere olan dağılışının değişimin sonucudur. Bu çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular ile Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri içerisinde yer alan "İklim Eylemi", "Temiz Su" ve "Sudaki Yaşam" amaçları doğrultusunda Türkiye'nin iklim değişikliğine uyum hedeflerine katkıda bulunulacaktır. Climate is an important physical geography factor that controls the shaping of the natural environment. One of the most variable parameters in terms of time and space among the climate elements is precipitation. Precipitation; It has important effects for water resources, plants and agriculture with its different characteristics such as amount, regime, efficiency and severity. In recent years, with the effect of climate change, variations in the distribution, intensity and frequency of precipitation throughout the year have been observed and this situation causes disasters such as excessive precipitation, hail and flood. For this purpose, the hypothesis of the study is "Is there periodic variability in precipitation regimes and regions in Turkey due to climate change?" is to seek the answer to the question. First of all, monthly, seasonal and annual amounts of precipitation data of 108 stations in Turkey were analyzed. In the study, factor analysis method was used to determine precipitation regime regions. With this method, precipitation values are clustered in terms of proximity and similarity. Depending on these determined clusters, precipitation regimes and regions have been revealed. According to the factor analysis, three precipitation regimes and the regions where they are effective were determined in Turkey. Accordingly, 61 of the 108 stations used in the study were classified in the factor group belonging to the Mediterranean precipitation regime in the first reference period, while the other stations were classified in the Continental and Black Sea precipitation regime groups. In order to more clearly determine the change in precipitation regime regions, two reference periods covering the 1961-1990 and 1991-2020 intervals are discussed. As a result of factor analysis, differences between reference periods were determined. Among the reference periods used within the scope of the study, the highest change trend was from the Mediterranean Regime Region to the Black Sea Regime Region. The most obvious of these differences is the "decrease of winter precipitation" and the "increase of summer precipitation" in the second reference period 1991-2020 of some stations (Edirne, Kırklareli, Kumköy, Sarıyer, Tekirdağ and Yalova) in the Marmara Region, which showed a Mediterranean precipitation regime trend in the first reference period of 1961-1990. However, when the 60-year long period covering the 1961-2020 period is examined, results are generally compatible with the first reference period covering the 1961-1990 period. In the second reference period, 1991-2020, it is thought that extreme precipitation was effective in the formation of differences. In the stations that transition from the Mediterranean precipitation regime region to the continental precipitation regime region, decreases are observed in winter precipitation, while increases in spring precipitation are observed. In the stations that transition from the continental precipitation regime region to the Mediterranean precipitation regime, decreases in spring precipitation and an increase in winter precipitation were detected. The decrease in autumn precipitation is noteworthy at the station, which transitions from the Black Sea precipitation regime region to the Mediterranean precipitation regime region. In stations that change from the Mediterranean precipitation regime to the Black Sea precipitation regime, decreases in winter precipitation and increases in autumn and summer precipitation are observed. This situation is the result of the increase in extreme precipitation, precipitation intensity and frequency in recent years due to climate change, and the change in the distribution of precipitation over the seasons. Findings from this study will contribute to Turkey's climate change adaptation goals in line with the objectives of "Climate Action", "Clean under Water" and "Life in Water", which are included in the Sustainable Development Goals.
