Bu çalışmada, denizcilik sektörünün yüzen unsurları olan gemilerde yangın emniyeti ve yangını geciktirme üzerine araştırma ve geliştirme yapılmıştır. Gemide alınabilecek yangın emniyetinden, geminin yangın bakımından tehlike arz eden bölmelerinden, gemilerde korozyonun etkilerinden ve çözüm önerilerinden bahsedilmiştir. Gemilerin yalıtımları yangın ve ısı emniyeti bakımından değerlendirilmiştir. Burada hedef gemilerde yangını çıkmadan önce önlemek ya da çıktıktan sonra yavaşlatarak kontrol altına almaktır. Bu amaçla ülkemizde bol miktarda bulunan Bor minareli incelenmiş olup denizcilik sektöründe nasıl fayda sağlayabileceği araştırılmıştır. Özellikle savaş gemilerinde yangın emniyeti ve korozyon önlemleri bakımından Bor mineralinin ısıyı tutucu ve korozyonu önleyici özelliği ön plana çıkarılarak incelenmiştir. Yapılan denemelerde, gemiler için geliştirilen bor katkılı boyaların, gemilerde halen kullanılan boyalara kıyasla, yangın geciktiriciliği bakımından nasıl katkı sağlayacağı, simülatör üzerinde yapılan çalışmalar neticesinde ortaya çıkan sonuçlar üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Gemi metalinden yapılan simülatörlerimizden, normal boyalı simulator ile bor katkılı boyalı olan simülatör aynı ortamlarda birkaç farklı yöntemle karşılaştırılmıştır. Birinci denemede her iki simülatör de yüksek sıcaklığa maruz bırakarak iç yüzeyin zamanla artan sıcaklık seviyesi ölçülmüştür. İkinci denemede boyalara aynı şartlar altında yüksek sıcaklık verilerek (500 °C) sıcaklığa maruz kalan yüzeyler üzerindeki yanma reaksiyonunun farklı durumları karşılaştırılmıştır. Üçüncü denemede her iki simülatöre aynı şartlar altında yüksek sıcaklık verdikten sonra aniden ısı kaynağı kesilerek sıcaklığın zamanla düşüş hızı incelenmiştir. Gemiler için geliştirilen bor katkılı boya kullanılmasının; yangın riskini azaltacağı, yangın durumunda yangının büyüme hızını yavaşlatacağı, yangın sonrası yanan malzemenin hızlıca kendiliğinden soğuma sağlayacağı, korozyon ve çevre kirliliği gibi etmenleri minimum seviyeye indirebileceği savunulmuştur.
In this study, research and development was carried out on fire safety and fire retardation on ships, which are the floating elements of the maritime industry. The fire safety that can be taken on the ship, the fire-hazardous compartments of the ship, the effects of corrosion on the ships and solution suggestions are mentioned. The insulations of the ships were evaluated in terms of fire and heat safety. Here, the goal is to prevent the fire on ships before it starts or to take it under control by slowing it down after it starts. For this purpose, the Boron minaret, which is abundant in our country, has been examined and how it can be beneficial in the maritime sector has been investigated. In terms of fire safety and corrosion measures, especially in warships, the heat-retaining and anti-corrosion properties of the boron mineral were highlighted. In our experiments, how boron-added paints developed for ships can contribute compared to the paints used in ships, the study conducted on the Simulator and the results obtained were evaluated. Our simulators made of ship metal, normal painted simulator and boron-added simulator have been compared with several different methods in the same environments. First, by exposing both simulators to high temperature, the temperature level of the inner surface that increases over time was measured. Second, the areas where the paints moved on the surface by giving high temperature under the same conditions were compared. Third, after giving high heat to both simulators under the same conditions, the heat source was cut off and the rate of decrease of the temperature over time was examined. Using boron added paint developed for ships; It was argued that it would reduce the risk of fire, slow down the growth rate of the fire in case of fire, provide rapid self-cooling of the burning material after the fire, and minimize factors such as corrosion and environmental pollution.
