Konunun mahiyetine yönelik yazım aşamasında Cumhurbaşkanlığı Devlet Arşivleri, Britanya National Archive, resmi yayınlar, Meclis-i Mebusan tutanakları, Avam Kamarası tutanakları, dönemin önemli gazeteleri, etkin kişilerin hatıraları ve araştırma eserlerinden istifade edilmiştir.

During the writing process on the subject, the Presidency State Archives, the British National Archive, official publications, the minutes of the Ottoman Parliament (Meclis-i Mebusan), the minutes of the House of Commons (Avam Kamarası), the important newspapers of the period, the memories of respected people and research were used. In the use of the obtained resources, an effort was made to reach the right information by the comparison method, and document analysis technique was used as a method for this. As a result of the findings, it can be concluded that the Ottoman public never trusted the Treaty of Sèvres and considered it null and void since the day it was signed. The treaty, signed as a defeated state, looks more like a document of destruction than treaty.
