Abstract:
DESIGN PISTON COMPUTER AIDED Keywords : piston, design, engine Vehicles which make our lives easy take an important role in everyday life. A great number of engines that make those vehicles move are the piston engines. Lots of actors should be taken in to account for the design of the piston, which is regarded as the heart of the engine. Requirements of automotive piston materials- it is well known that such materials must have low density, high conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient, and high Young's modulus as their main properties. They must also have good corrosion- and wear resistance characteristics. Finally, they must have strength and fatigue resistance at moderate and high temperatures. To these needs, castability, forgeability, machinabüity and coatability might be added. On the other hand, a development engineer needs a material that leads to a piston having low skirt collapse, absence of cracks and erosion, dimensional stability, no heavy marks on lands or skirt with Tnmimal clearance, low oil and fuel consumption, and minimal widening of rings grooves. Market requirements are becoming more extreme due to legislative and customer demands on engines such as reduced emissions, noise, development lead times, and increased ratings, durability and fuel economy. A review of the design and analysis philosophy was needed. Integration of many computer- aided processes was required to achieve this goal This pistons with various size and length which are used for diesel and fuel engines have been studied in this field.
