Ülkemizde de yaygın olarak kullanılmaya başlanan, CNC tezgahlarda her makineyi kullanan bir operatör bulunmaktadır. İnsan faktörünün en aza indirgendiği ve tam otomasyonun gerçekleştirilebildiği sistemlerde, CNC tezgahlar insan müdahalesinin en aza olabileceği şekilde programlanmalıdır. Gelişmiş ülkeler arasında kaba bir yer almak isteyen Türkiye'de, bu hedefi gerçekleştirmenin en etkin araçlarından birisi de endüstriyel bazda teknolojik gelişmenin sağlanmasıdır. CNC takım tezgahlarının ülkemiz makine imalat sanayinde kullanımı her geçen gün artmaktadır. 10 Kişiden az personel çalıştıran küçük ölçekli atölyelerde dahi CNC tezgah kullanımı yaygınlaşmaktadır. CNC Teknolojisi ilk defa 70'li yıllardaki bilgisayar teknolojisinin gelişmesine paralel olarak ve mikro bilgisayar sisteminin yaygınlaşmaya başladığı günlerde ortaya çıkmıştır. CNC Tezgahların üç temel özelliği vardır. Bunlardan birincisi harfler ve sembollerle bu makineye bilgi verilebilir.
