ÖZET Anahtar kelimeler- Bor teknolojileri, Sodyum Bor hidrür, Yakıt hücresi, Alternatif enerji kaynaklan Dünya fosil yakıt rezervlerinin hızla tükenmekte olması, insanlığın yeni teknolojiler geliştirmesini ve bununla birlikte yeni yakıt türlerine yönelmesine neden olmuştur. Fosil yakıtlarının çevre kirliliğini arttırması da yeni teknolojilere yönelmede en önemli faktörlerdendir. Bu çalışmada, içten yanmalı motorlarda kullanılabilecek olan alternatif enerji kaynaklarından yakıt hücresi teknolojisi incelenerek literatür bilgileri verilmiştir. Yakıt hücresi teknolojisinde bor elementinin kullanımı ve hidrojenin taşınmasında ve depolanmasında sağlamış olduğu avantajlar ile bor elementinin önemli bir element olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Borun sadece taşımada değil farklı kimyasal yapılarıyla yakıt olarak ta kullanılabileceğinden, bor elementine dayalı teknolojilerin ülkemizde geliştirilmesi ve arttırılması gereği vurgulanmıştır. Bor elementinin gelecekte çok daha önemli olacağı şimdiden görülmektedir. Ayrıca içten yanmalı motorlarda bor elementinin kullanılması sonucu az maliyetle daha fazla yol ve daha az çevre kirliliğine neden olması da bu çalışmada sunulmuştur. IX
APPLICATIONS OF THE TECHNOLOGIES BASED ON BORON IN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY AS ALTERNATIVE SOURCES SUMMARY Key words- Boron technology, Sodium Boron hydryd, füel-cell, alternative energy sources Due to fossil fuel reserves are running out, man has to developed new technologies and researched for new types of the fuel. Increasing in pollution by fossil fuels, is also important factor for development new technologies. In this study, knowledge of literature of fuel cell technology one of the alternative sources that can be used with internal combustion motors, is investigated and given. This study is also pointed out that advantages of the use of boron in fuel-cell technology and the features in transporting and storage of hydrogen. It is also stressed that it is necessity to developing technologies including of boron element. Because of that boron can be used not only in transport but also as a fuel with its chemical structures. It is seen that boron element will be more important in the feature at the moment. It is also presented that the use of boron element with internal combustion motors does not make much pollution and it enables whicle to go further with the less cost. These factors, therefore, increase importance of boron.
