Cumhuriyete kadarki Türk romanında değerler çatışması

Abstract

Türk edebiyatının XTX. yüzyıldan itibaren Batı edebiyatının tesiri altında kalması, Türk insanının diğer edebî türler yanında roman nev'iyle de tanışmasına imkân sağlamıştır. Bilindiği gibi XVIII. ve XIX. yüzyıllar, Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun en buhranlı yıllarıdır. Devlet iç ve dış tesirlerle hızla yıkılmakta, halk da ekonomik sıkıntılar ve siyasî kargaşalar içerisinde büyük bir kaosa doğru sürüklenmektedir. Toplumu ayakta tutan tüm değerler alt üst olmakta, bu ise, Türk insanım değer çatışmaları içerisine çekmektedir. Bu durum, ister istemez edebî eserlere de yansımış; yazarlar, içinde bulunulan hâli eserlerine taşıyarak çözüm yollan aramışlardır. Diğer edebî türler yanında roman nev'i de içinde bulunulan buhrandan nasibini almış ve söz konusu problemler, birçok romanın konusunu; hatta tezini oluşturmuştur. Biz bu sebeple, bunları dikkate alarak "Cumhuriyete Kadarki Türk Romanında Değerler Çatışması" konusunu tez olarak aldık. Bu vesileyle incelediğimiz romanlarda, ahlâkî, sosyal, siyasî, dinî, estetik ve iktisadî değer çatışmalarını tespit ettik. Söz konusu değer çatışmalarında ahlâkî değer çatışmaları % 60'lık bir oranla büyük bir ağırlığa sahiptir. Bunu %17'lik bir payla sosyal değer çatışmaları, %12 ile siyasî, %6 ile dinî, %3 ile estetik ve %2'lik bir payla da iktisadî değer çatışmaları takip etmektedir. Bu sonuçlara göre Türk romanının büyük oranda ahlâkî değer çatışmaları üzerine kurulduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Sosyal çatışmaların ekseriyeti evlilik öncesi eşler arasında aranan denklikle ilgilidir, n. Meşrutiyet devrinde oldukça fazla olan siyasî çatışmalar ise, daha çok H Abdülhamit ve yönetimi etrafında oluşmuştur. Bunların dışındaki dinî, estetik ve iktisadî çatışmalar ise, oldukça azdır. Değerler sisteminin karma karışık olduğu ve çatışmaların sıkça yaşandığı bir devirde Türk edebiyatına dahil olan roman türünü, sonuç olarak hem toplumsal değişimin bir yorumlayıcısı; hem de söz konusu değişimin bir vasıtası olarak görmek mümkündür. Bu nedenle, inceleme konumuz olan Cumhuriyete Kadarki Türk Romanında Değerler Çatışması, birçok ilim daimin edebiyatla olan ilişkisini ortaya koyması, insanımızın yaşadığı toplumsal değişimi ve bu değişimle doğan değer çatışmalarının Türk insanı üzerindeki tesirini göstermesi açısından fevkalâde bir öneme sahiptir.

Turkish literature, being influenced by Western literature after th 19 th century caused Turkish society to meet the novel besides the other literaturel masterpieces. As it is known, the 18 th and the 19 th centuries were the most critical years for the Ottoman Empire. In those centuries the government was collapsed by both interior and exterior forces. While the society was being swept away towards a big kaos in economical n hardship and political disturbance. The values which stand the society became corrupted and this pulled the Turkish people into the value conflicts. Naturally, this state reflected to the literature and the authors carrying the situation to their works, tried to find solutions. Inevitably the novel was also affected as much as the other kinds so the problems mentioned formed the concept of the novel even its thesis. For this reason, taking into consideration all of these, we got "The Value Conflicts in Turkish Novel Till the Republic"(keywords) as thesis subject. Thus, we stated the ethic, social, political, regilious, esthetic and economical value conflicts. It was found out that the ethic value conflicts had the share of 60 percent in these conflicts. It was followed by the social value conflicts with 17 percent, political with 12 percent, religious with 6 percent, esthetic with 3 percent and finally economical with the percentage of 2. According to these results, it's possible to say that the Turkish novel was established on the ethic value conflicts. The majority of the social conflicts is related to the equivalent between the couples. The political disturbances which were too much in the period of second Constitutional Monarchy were mostly occured related to Abdülhamid the second and his administration. The religious, esthetic and economical conflicts apart from these were so little. In such a period when the system of values was so complicated and the disturbances being occured so often, the novel included in Turkish literature, it was possible to see it both as an interpreter of social change and a mean of the mentioned change. So, our subject of investigation "The Values Conflicts in Turkish Novel Till the Republic" has an extraordinary importance in respect of its statement the relation of several scientific branches with literature, our people's social change and showing the influence of the conflicts on Turkish society.
