Bu çalışmada üretici dönüşümsel dilbilgisi, derin yapı yüzey yapı kuramı ışığında Türkçede ve Almancada yan cümle yapıları ve birleşik cümle ele alınmıştır. Türkçede ve Almancada söz dizimi ve yan cümle yapıları karşılaştırmalı bir düzen içerisinde açıklanmıştır. Yan cümle yapıları arasındaki benzerlikler ve farklılıklar ortaya konmuştur. Derin yapı yüzey yapı kuramına göre cümleler derin yapıda soyut müstakil cümleler olarak kurgulanır ve birtakım dönüşümler sonucu yüzey yapıya farklı formlarda ve birleşik yapılar içerisinde yansır. İki cümle birleşerek temel cümle ve yan cümleden oluşan birleşik cümle yapısını oluşturur. Bu birleşimler Almancada bağlaçlar (Konjunktionen) vasıtasıyla, Türkçede ise bazı bağlaçlar ve daha çok bağlayıcı (Junktor) vazifesi gören fiilimsi ekleriyle sağlanır. Bu çalışmada Türkçede ve Almancada bu dönüşümlerin nasıl olduğu açıklanmış ve bağlanma şekilleri karşılaştırmalı olarak verilmiştir. Almancadaki yan cümlelerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun Türkçedeki eşdeğerlilikleri (Äquivalente) fiilimsi yapılardır. Bu nedenle çalışmamızda fiilimsi yapılar geniş bir yer tutmuştur. Fiilimsi yapıların kuruluşlarını, dil içi çeviri de yapılmak suretiyle Almancaya aktarmak, yan cümle çözümlemelerini ve çeviri sürecini kolaylaştırmaktadır. Dilimize ifade zenginliği kazandıran fiilimsi yapıların yan cümle olarak incelenmek suretiyle Almancaya nasıl aktarılabileceği üzerinde durulmuştur. Karşılaştırmalı bir düzen içerisinde bunların benzerlikleri ve farklılıkları açıklanmıştır. Bu karşılaştırmada iki dilin yan cümle yapılarının benzerliklerinin farklılıklarından daha çok olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Her iki dilde de yan cümle yapıları açısından temel problem, Türkçede temel cümleyi semantik ve sentaktik olarak tamamlayan art anda sıralı çok fazla sayıda fiilimsi yapıların olmasıdır. Bu cümle yapılarının Almancaya aktarılmasında zorluklar yaşanmaktadır. Bu zorlukları aşmanın yolu, fiilimsi yapıların yan cümle olarak ele alınıp incelenmesi ve bunların Almancadaki eşdeğerliliği olan yan cümle yapılarıyla karşılaştırılarak çözümlenmesidir.
This study focuses on the subordinate clauses and compound structures in the light of transformational generative grammar, deep structure and surface structure. The syntax and subordinate clauses in Turkish and German are explained comparatively. The similarities and differences in subordinate clauses in these languages are put forward. According to the deep structure surface structure theory, sentences are built in abstractly and separately in deep structure, then reflected to surface structure in different forms and in compound structures as a result of a series of transformations. Two sentences combine to form a compound sentence consisting of a basic sentence and compound sentence. These unifications are made via conjunctions in German, and via some conjunctions and gerundial appendices acting as junctive. In this study, the aforementioned transformations in Turkish and German are explained in detail and unifications are presented comparatively. The vast majority of compound structures in German equals to the gerundial structures in Turkish. Thus, the gerundial structures have a wide coverage in the study. Gerundial structures, acting as an element of the sentence, should be examined as a subordinate sentence with a transformation from morphological to syntactical structure. Translating the gerundial structures into German with intralingual mode facilitates the subordinate structure analysis and translation process. The study focuses on how to transfer the gerundial structures, enriching the power of expression of our language, as subordinate clauses into German. The similarities and differences of these are presented comparatively. In this comparison, it has been found that the similarity of the two language side sentences is greater than the differences. The fundamental problem in regards of the subordinate clauses in both languages is that there is a multitude of gerundial structures in a row completing the basic sentence semantically and syntactically in Turkish. There are difficulties in transferring these sentences into German. The way to overcome these difficulties is to examine the gerundial structures as subordinate sentences and to analyse these gerundial structures with in comparison with subordinate sentences which are their German equivalents.
