Bu çalışma İbn Sînâ felsefesine göre varlık-mahiyet ilişkisinin ne olduğu sorusunu konu edinir. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma, Tanrı ve O'nun dışındaki varlıklar için varlık-mahiyet ilişkisinin ne olduğu sorusunu sorar ve bu sorunun çözümünü ayrıntılı olarak inceler. Bu çerçevede çalışma, üç bölüm olarak şu şekilde belirlenmiştir: 1) Varlık, 2) mahiyet, 3) varlık-mahiyet ilişkisi. Birinci ve ikinci bölümlerde varlık ve mahiyet ile en yakından ilgili kavramlar incelenmiştir. Birinci bölümde 1) Varlık, 2) yokluk, 3) varlık türleri, 4) 'varlık'ın derecelenmesi, 5) varlık-kategoriler ilişkisi, 6) cevher, 7) arazlar, 8) 'varlık'ın hakikati ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise 1) Mahiyet, 2) mahiyet-tanım ilişkisi, 3) mahiyet-hakikat ilişkisi, 4) mahiyet-zât ilişkisi, 5) mahiyet-sûret ilişkisi, 6) imkân, 7) mahiyet-imkân ilişkisi, 8) mahiyetin nedenleri ele alınmıştır. Bu başlıkların tümü, bilfiil var olan bir şeyin mahiyetinin 'dış dünya' ve 'kavram' olarak iki varoluş tarzındaki hallerinin çözümlenebilmesi için söz konusu edilmiştir. Bu durum, var olan bir şeyin varlığı ve mahiyeti arasındaki ilişkinin tüm yönleriyle çözümlenebilmesi için gerekli olmuştur. Üçüncü bölümün içeriği ise şu şekilde belirlenmiştir: 1) Kavram (tasavvur), 2) kavram-mahiyet ilişkisi, 3) kavram-varlık ilişkisi, 4) kavram-tanım ilişkisi, 5) varlığı zorunluda varlık-mahiyet ilişkisi, 6) varlığı mümkünde varlık-mahiyet ilişkisi, 7) İbn Sînâ'nın ilk dönem eserlerinde varlık-mahiyet ilişkisi, 8) et-Ta'lîkât ve el-Mübâhasât'ta varlık-mahiyet ilişkisi. Varlığı mümkün olanda varlık-mahiyet ayrımı kavramsal bir ayrım olduğu için 'kavram'ın (tasavvur), ilk dört başlık altında ayrıntılı olarak incelenmesi gerekli olmuştur. Beşinci ve altıncı başlıklar ise bu iki başlık öncesindeki tüm içeriğin toparlanması ile varlığı zorunlu ve varlığı mümkünün varlığı ve mahiyeti arasındaki ilişkinin ne olduğu sorusunun çözümüne ayrılmıştır.
This study discusses the relationship between existence and quiddity according to Ibn Sina philosophy. Hence, this study asks the question, what is the relationship between existence and quiddity for God and creatures except for Him. In this framework, the study was determined under three sections as follows: 1) Existence, 2) Quiddity, 3) The relationship of Existence and Quiddity. In the first and second sections, the main the concepts that are related to existence and quiddity were examined. In the first section, concepts of 1) existence, 2) non-existence, 3) realms of existence, 4) the degree of existence, 5) the relationship of existence and categories, 6) substance, 7) accidents, 8) the 'truth of existence' were examined. In the second section, 1) quiddity, 2) the relationship between quiddity and definition, 3) the relationship between quiddity and truth, 4) the relationship between quiddity and essence, 5) the relationship between quiddity and form, 6) possibility, 7) the relationship between quiddity and possibility and the reasons of quiddity were discussed. All of these subjects were discussed in order to analyze the quiddity of something that actually exists into two types of existence as 'external world' and 'concept'. This situation became necessary in order to completely analyze the relationship between something an existent and its quiddity. The content of the third section was determined as follows: 1) Concept, 2) the relationship between concept and quiddity, 3) the relationship between concept and existence, 4) the relationship between concept and definition, 5) the relationship between existence and quiddity in the thing necessarily exists 6) the relationship between existence and quiddity in the thing that can possibly exist 7) the relationship between existence and quiddity in the early works of Ibn Sina, 8) the relationship between existence and quiddity in at-Ta'lîqât ve al-Mubâhasât. Since the difference between existence and quiddity in the thing that necessarily exists is a conceptual difference, it became necessary to examine 'the concept' in detail under the first four sections. In the fifth and sixth sections, the answer to what the relationship between the existence and quiddity is of the thing that necessarily exists and the thing that can possibly exist by composing all of the content in the sections before these two sections.
