İlkokullarda velilerin eğitim sürecine katılımının incelenmesi(Sultanbeyli örneği).

Abstract

Okul, aile ve öğrenci arasındaki bağlantının merkezini öğretmen ile veli arasındaki iş birliğinin oluşturduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu bağlamda araştırmada, ilkokul seviyesindeki öğrenci velilerinin eğitim sürecine katılım düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nicel ve nitel yöntemlerle tasarlanan araştırmada veriler, 2018–2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Sultanbeyli ilçesindeki farklı ilkokullarda öğrenim gören öğrenci velilerine uygulanan veli katılım ölçeği ve yarı yapılandırılmış veli görüşme formu ile edilmiştir. Elde edilen nicel verilerin analizinde normallik dağılımı sonuçlarına göre Mann Whitney U ve Kruskall Vallis H testi kullanılmıştır. Nitel veriler, betimsel ve içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarında velilere göre kendileri çocuklarının eğitim sürecine orta düzeyin üstünde katılım göstermektedirler. Velilerin en çok çocukla iletişim, öğrenmeyi destekleyici ev ortamının oluşturulması ve çocuğun ödev ve çalışmalarını destekleme konularında eğitim sürecine katılım gösterdikleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, velilerin demografik özelliklerine göre çocuklarının eğitim sürecine katılım düzeyleri arasında farklılıklar olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

It is thought that the cooperation between the teacher and the parent is the center of the connection between school, family and student. In this context, it was aimed to determine the level of participation of the parents of the elementary school students in the educational process. The data in the research, which was designed with quantitative and qualitative methods, were conducted in the 2018–2019 academic year with the parents participation scale and semi-structured parent interview form which were applied to the parents of the students in different primary schools in the Sultanbeyli district of Istanbul. In the analysis of the quantitative data, Mann Whitney U and Kruskall Vallis H test were used according to the results of normality distribution. Qualitative data were analyzed by descriptive and content analysis. According to the results of the study, parents are more than average in the education process of their children. It was determined that parents mostly participated in the training process in terms of communication with children, creating a home-supportive environment to support learning and supporting the child's homework and studies. In addition, according to the demographic characteristics of the parents, it was determined that there were differences between the levels of participation of their children in the education process.
