Abstract:
In this research, scenarios regarding the relation between the climate factors of Lake Sapanca and the changes in the lake water level were analyzed using artificial neural network (ANN) models. Climate factors consist of the daily average rates of rainfall, evaporation, relative humidity, temperature and wind speed, obtained from the Sakarya Directorate of the Meteorological Station. Lake level data were obtained from the State Hydraulic Works. Under various scenarios, these data were used for establishing ANN models. The results of the models were compared using the determination coefficient statistics, and the model which gave the best result was determined.
