Abstract:
Rhizopus microsporus is a rare infectious agent that belongs to the class Zygomycetes and the group Mucorales. Major risk factors for infections caused by Rhizopus microsporus are uncontrolled diabetes, hematological malignancies, organ transplantation, steroid use, and malnutrition. Rhizopus microsporus is a rare infectious agent in immunocompetent people. The aim of this study is to present pleural R. microsporus complex in a patient with no risk factors.
