dc.description.abstract Power system stability is usually the situation that a power system is in an acceptable operation state and that it is capable of returning to the normal equilibrium state after a disturbance. Voltage stability and collapses began to play a significant role in power system analysis and control as a result of energy system collapses in various places of the world. In this paper, by applying the variable gradient method to a four-bus system, the system's energy function is created and thus the system's energy level changes' effects on the system's stability is shown by using Macsyma program.
