dc.description.abstract Energy saving approaches for interior lighting, especially for governmental and nongovernmental offices, is significant for every country around the world. As energy sources decrease, greenhouse gas emissions increase. So, lighting energy savings should be considered more seriously. In this study, energy saving potential of an office building is examined by using electrical data collected from the camera integrated automated lighting control system and energy consumption is reduced by an image processing technique accordingly. The goal of this study is to improve the system energy parameters and increase the energy saving potential of the lighting system.
