Abstract:
Philosophy, theology and tasawwuf are three main disciplines of Islamic thought. Among them, while philosophy and theology give the human intellect priority, according to tasawwuf, unveiling/intuition is epistemologically more valuable. This book points out some disagreements seen among these disciplines. Especially, we see the negative attitudes of tasawwuf against the human intellect with references to remarkable Sufis. Therefore, the book that we review is a beneficial source for those who are interested in comparative readings on the epistemologies of theology and tasawwuf.
