Abstract:
Properties of the low-energy electromagnetic dipole states in even-even Cd154-160 isotopes have been studied within rotational, transitional and Galilean invariant Quasiparticle Random Phase approximation (QRPA) method. It has been shown that the main part of spin-1 states, observed at energy 2 divided by 4 MeV in Gd154-160 may have M1 character and may be interpreted as the main fragments of the scissors mode. The calculations indicate the presence of a few prominent negative parity K-pi = 1(-) states in 2 divided by 4 MeV energy interval in Gd154-160.
