dc.description.abstract The melt-quench procedure was employed to create five different composition of bioactive glasses with TiO2 modifications. The optical and shielding characteristics the bioglasses have all undergone significant changes. X-ray diffraction studies were subjected to investigate the glasses' amorphous character. The absorption and transmission of the prepared glasses are measured to examine optical characteristics. The energy gap expands, whereas Urbach reduces. The physical constants basicity, polarizability, and electronegativity are all determined. Phy-X/PSD was employed to explore radiation shielding features. Because the addition of TiO2, sample G5 has the best radiation features. The outcomes show that adding TiO2 to bioactive glass compositions has a significant impact on their optical and radiation shielding features. As a result of the composition, a new bioglass system has been created that can be used in a variety of applications, including dental prosthetics and orthopaedic implants.
