Abstract

A general portrait of socio-cultural life in Ruscuk was_x000D_ drew with a detailed evaluation of the family's quantitative and qualitative_x000D_ characteristics via the study which based on the inheritance inventories. It is seen_x000D_ that the number of people living in the household is 4, 16, when the family_x000D_ institution is examined based on the socio-economic structure of Ruscuk in the_x000D_ early 19th century. When looking at he marital status of individuals, it is_x000D_ determined that 71% of them are married and this is an indication of the_x000D_ importance given to the marriage institution in the family. The number of_x000D_ children per family is 2,16. The factor that determines the number of children is_x000D_ socio-economic status of the people. Even if polygamy is not common in Ruscuk,_x000D_ 8% of people have polygamy according to the study. It is understood that a_x000D_ monogamous structure is dominant in the Ruscuk family structure. The amount_x000D_ of income per capita in Ruscuk is 191,631. Initially although many people are_x000D_ detected who are below of the average wealth amount of families, the number of_x000D_ wealth among these people is much above average.
